Re: Not using my cpap

My late wife used to read in bed and she noticed that I stop breathing when I sleep sometimes. My present wife said I do not snore or stop breathing but she is a sound sleeper and maybe she wants my insurtance money, LOL.

Not using my cpap

My wife passed away in 2009 and now I have remarried. My sleep is broken every night but I wake up refreshed and not tired. I should clarify that before my wife went to the Lord I was diagnosed with sleep apnea. I was wondering if I should use my cpap machine again and maybe that would help me sleep...

When is it time

When can you tell when it time to replace your mask? I know my insurance company will replace one every 6 months.

Re: Respironics Comfort Gel Full Mask

I have used this mask with a pressure of ten and could not get a good seal. I have moved on to a nasal mask ,ComfortGel2, the problem with this mask is that I tend to breathe through my mouth at night.

Open mouth insert "tape"

I have using a ComfortGel Nasal mask and I like it but my wife told me that while I am sleeping I open my mouth and begin to snore . To solve the problem I have been using duct tape to keep my mouth shut until my next visit with my pulmonary doctor. When I see him I cna get a script for a chin strap

Using CPAP w/a cold

Curious, I recently caught a cold and while I had my mask on my nose did not drip . I was wondering if anyone had put Vicks vapor rub in the humidifier to help with ones breathing? Just a silly thought

CPAP To Go travel case

I recently came back from a trip. First time I had to travel with my CPAP equipment ( felt like a roadie, with all the stuff I had to bring, LOL) The case I have is only big enough for the REMstar Plus machine. Do they sell larger cases to hold the tubing and mask assembly?

Sleep Apnea a married person ailment

I was diagnosed with sleep apnea in August 2008 after attending a sleep clinic. Originally I went because my wife told me she was concerned about my sleeping (stopped breathing for a few seconds) habits. My point is if I was single I would have not been aware of my disease and being a male, it would...
