Re: Mouth puffs with nasal mask?
I struggled with the same problem. I tried different masks. I tried tape. The puffing cheeks would wake me even though I had solved the leak problems with varying degrees of success. Then I learned about someone's experimentation with a DIY mouth appliance made from an athletic mouth guard and I beg...

The F&P 432 has chin support.
It works pretty good for me.

Re: Popping noise from valve
It sounds to me like you have insufficient pressure coming from the machine to close the valve and keep it closed. This could easily be the case at the beginning of a ramp period. My mask does this before I start my session. Its the valve flap opening and closing over and over. Try turning off the r...

Re: Full Face Mask striking out Need help finding another one
The 431 was a "loaner". I purchased the 432 with the idea that the extra internal cushion could be removed if desired and then it would also be a 431. I found that the extra cushion worked better and have been using it ever since. I did learn that the smaller sizes work better for me even though the...

Re: Full Face Mask striking out Need help finding another one
I use the F&P 432 and have pretty much settled on it. I have tried the Swift LT, the Probasic ZZZ, the Hybrid, and the 431. My usual AHI is now under 3 and my AI is usually 0.0 or 0.1. My numbers have never been better with any of the others. I like the extra support cushion of the 432. When I remov...

Re: I think I'm almost there...a couple of hybrid questions
I had leak problems with my hybrid like you describe. I ended up trying the small mouth cushion out of desperation one night. The leaks disappeared! Also there are stretchy headbands or hair bands available that are only about 1/4 inch wide. I put one of these around my head under my ears and across...

Re: Having a mask problem
I have the 432 and I found that if the cushion is too large then I get more leaks. I use a medium or small even though the large feels more comfortable. Also you say the "inside won't stay together". Does this mean you are having leaks between the shell and the cushion? If so this can be a problem w...

Re: Flexifit HC432 Full Face Mask with Headgear
I was having problems with my mask leaking between the plastic shell and the cushion also. I believe it was due to soap residue on the cushion after cleaning. I have changed my cleaning procedure and by taking care that there is no residue of any kind remaining on the shell or the cushion, I have no...

Re: Fischer & Paykel 432 Mask
I use it and I like it better than all the others I've tried. I ended up removing the silicone forehead pad because it gave me headaches. I also removed the 90 degree angle on the hose connection and replaced it with a straight one. I hang my hose from a hook above me while sleeping and found that t...

Re: Protecting the bridge!
I have been able to tolerate a full face mask only recently since I tried putting a strip of tape on my nose. I loved the swift LT but leaked badly from my mouth. When I taped my mouth the leaks stopped but the blow fish syndrome continued to disturb my sleep. My next move was to try the Hybrid. It ...

Re: FlexiFit HC431 or 432 FM/mouth breathing
I have used both the 431 and 432. I like the small chin flap because it does keep my mouth closed. I like the 432 better due to the extra gray cushion that is included. It supports the silicone cushion better and I find it contributes to fewer leaks. If you find that the gray cushion is not to your ...

Re: Plastic Smell From CPAP Last Night !
I had that happen to me when I forgot to fill the humidifier tank. An empty tank with the heater on, along with a heated hose produced an unpleasant plastic smell.
I have since made sure the water did not run out and have not had this trouble again.

Re: ResMed Card Reader differences?
Even better than guessing, draw lines with a fine tip sharpie marker. 13mm from the right side and 18mm from the left side.(looking into the slot) Then you will know exactly where the card needs to be positioned. I used mine for months this way before I made my card guide. It worked every time.

Re: diagnosis with overnight oxygen level study only
That was the first step for me. My Dr ordered the oximeter test first and when he saw the results he then recommended the full up sleep test.
