Re: Central Apnea Issues - Who knows about central?
Great chest article, ozij, thank you. I have had the same experience a couple times on this site during the past week. I have typed away for a good long time only to have all my typing lost. So now, if I think my reply is going to be longer than a sentence or two, I open a text document, type into t...

Re: Newcomer
I would love to find out I do not have central apnea. My first sleep study - no mask - indicated 14 ca's and 2 oa's. I put more stock in that report than in what the technician said. So all along I figured I do have central. Should I question the detailed print out from the sleep study, the one that...

Central Apnea Issues - Who knows about central?
Hi, "Newcomer" here. As suggested in one of the posts under "Another Newbie - Cpap woes", I am starting a post about central apnea. So far, there is much great info on central spread between the two threads, "Newcomer" and "Another Newbie - Cpap Woes". I joined this site just a few days ago and have...

Re: Another newbie-- CPAP woes
Newcomer here...... I am going to try that suggestion of not using the ramp feature. It is set to 4. The non-ramp setting is 6. I have always started out with the ramp on. Maybe that is why I feel like I am suffocating when using the machine. Yes, our situations do seem similar. I had 16 apnea event...

Re: Missing my (canine) Brown Eyed Girl
Things do work out in mysterious ways, don't they? I was laid off my high-stress job in June. I hate not working but being home a lot has given me the chance to spend quality time with my three dogs (two of whom are quite old). I know my time with the senior citizens is short so I give them (and the...

I am so glad I found this site. I am female 54 laid-off depending on cobra for health insurance newly diagnosed with central apnea and still waking up gasping for air despite my Respironics bipap avaps machine. Before I found this site, I considered giving up my health insurance because of the cost....
