Re: Need some advise
18 is a pretty high pressure. You shold talk to a GOOD ent to see if there is anything they can do for you. When I first talked to an ent I have to admitt it scared me. So I waited 6 years till one night I lost power on my cpap. It was horrible so I went in and had several problems repaired. I feel ...

Re: How do you change the settings on a ResMed VPAP S?
I turned mine up a little and it helped. I think you have to pplay around with it a little to find the right pressure. The techs are close but I found I feel better with just a bit more. You just unplug the machine and hold down 2 buttons and hold them while you plug it back in and it will be unlock...

Re: Young newly diagnosed questions
I would find a good ent and see if they can help you. I had several problems and had 77 events per hour. After surgery I now have around 7. Life is much better. If your in a situation where you don't have your machine it can be scary as well as dangerous. And if you get the right surgeon they can fi...

Re: Benefits of Surgery for Deviated Septum??
I had the surgery about 4 years ago and it made a major difference. It does take a long time to fully heal. Probably a year or so to really feel normal. I also had tonsils out and a surgery to keep from choking on my tounge. I went camping and my battery on my cpap ran out. I had a horrible night an...

Re: Addicted to Afrin
After 6 years of daily afrin I got the surgeries. Wish i hadn't waited so long. If you have an obstruction see an snt and fix it. A spray can't fix it.

Re: Second Guessing My Purchase
You can tell if you have apnea without a study. A study proves to the insurance company you need one and gives you an idea where to set it. You can figure out where to set it on your own. If you feel like a pillow is over you face turn it up. If it blows your head off so to speak turn it down. You c...

My remstar has 15000 hours on it and still runs good. I understand you can get a new one from most insurance companies after 5000 hours.
