Re: Icon+ Auto versus Airsense 10 Autoset
I know nothing about the Icon+, but the the ResMed Airsense 9 and 8 before it were the best for me.. I'v used the PR products before and their algorithms just don't work for ME. I have to make a concerted effort to not feel like I'm suffocating with it, and that just causes anxiety for me. I've mess...

Re: Have you been transformed?
Does transforming my relationship with my girlfriend count? My snoring was absolutely driving her crazy. We tried everything we could think of, but my snoring was just plain wearing her out. I finally made the appointment to have a sleep study done and the rest is history. We both sleep so much bett...

Re: Traveling with a cpap machine.....
boy i guess I'm in the minority since everything fits in the stock M-Series bag that they gave me! I travel with it in my motorcycle so size is at a premium, anything bigger and it wouldn't work. I do agree that u must make sure that the chamber is completely dried out or u may end up with a messed ...

that replacement schedule seems identical to the list that Apria gave me for Kaiser's coverage. They just gave me a nice yearly schedule to make sure i called in for my stuff.

Re: Benefits of going to full face mask from nasal pillows
i use the swift Lt and like it. Although i notice the pillows need to be replaced every 3 weeks as they start leaking. WOW, 3 weeks!!! I've gone at least 2 months before i noticed deterioration as far as leaks. I know i can switch them out about once a month, but i've tried to build a backup supply...

Re: cleaning your mask
Johnsons Baby Shampoo, and i just use the bathroom sink. Wash nasal pillows for about a minute, rushing the soapy water back and forth, then rinse with fresh clear water for about the same time. the baby shampoo does a noticeable good job of eliminating the facial oils from the pillows. I actually l...

Re: What Keeps People on Cpap Up in the Middle of the Night?
One simple word... "stress"
I'm an accountant and i start thinking about my day or what i haven't done and need to do and on and on and on. There goes my sleep for 2-3hrs but I can fall back asleep and still feel rested. Touch wood.

Re: travel without humidifier - 1st time
I've tried twice to sleep without the humidifier. Can't stand it, my nose and sinuses feel like they are burning and on fire! I actually don't need alot of humidity just enough to keep the linings moist and cool. I agree and can't stand the heat tho. I've tried the aussie heated hose and it just hea...

Re: 4i Humidifier indicator "cycles", no heat
have you tried reseating the humidifier? Maybe one of the power contacts isn't seating properly. Mine cycles the light and if i go anything about 2 on the settings It's drowning time. Good to know about the passover being fine, cause i plan on running mine in that mode when i go camping. I've tried ...

Re: cleaning mask.... oily skin + drool....help!!!
That's exactly what i do! Wash and use an astringent. I however, use a nasal pillow mask, so it minimizes the contact and hence the problem.

Re: Did you start cpap well but then felt benefits slide away ?
Been on xPap for just over 3 months. I'm doing pretty well, i think. I wake up on my own and feel ready to start the day. My main issues were i was tired but it was a direct result of my excessive snoring which was making my girlfriend pretty miserable. She was a real trooper but it was taking it's ...

Re: Drying the hose?
I was washing it once a week, till i just said what the heck. I'm using the Aussie hose now so i never even touch it anymore. I figure the Autoset II is running cool air for about an hour after my treatment it probably helps dry it. the only thing i wash religiously every day is my nasal pillow and ...

Re: Exhale relief on APAP?
Just a note on the price match, the original quoted machine was Autoset II w/h4i, I don't see the h4i humidifier even listed on CPAP.com. the h4i is a great humidifier, I'm only on the 2 setting and it's more than sufficient for my needs. Seems that the h3i had output problems in comparison. Just an...

Re: Why buy software for the Resmed AutoSet II
It isn't a trade down, oh stop it lol. I beleive its a trade up in machine, but yes a lil trade down in software. It shows pretty much the same stuff besides FL and VS. Everything else is there. The reason i like it so much is every other machine you breath to the machine, this one breathes as you ...

Re: Missing Clinician's Manual
It's meant for clinicians, that's why. The DME did the proper thing. You know what's interesting is my DME provider included it in our travel bag. Everyone in the room had it. Mind u, it's the Respironics manual that's 1 page double sided but gives you how to access the clinicians settings. They re...
