Re: New Member back on CPAP...

I would not recommend putting the top end of your autoset to 20. You might bump it up a couple notches, but you're already getting a good result and having it too high can disrupt sleep. If it were me, I'd set it on 6-9 and see how that goes. This is bad advice for most people. All that 'advice' is...

Re: New Member back on CPAP...

I've been using the same mask, headgear and cushion for several years. I wash the cushion every night with either Dr. Bronner's soap or a fragrance free baby wipe. I would not recommend putting the top end of your autoset to 20. You might bump it up a couple notches, but you're already getting a goo...

Re: I though I slept REAL GOOD with it

Huh. I read it and still didn't understand how there's a sex difference, wouldn't anyone benefit from that?

Re: I though I slept REAL GOOD with it

Also this machine breathes amazing. It's so smooth. When I took my old machine off the stand it kinda smelled like fried electronics. The motor had developed a whirring sound too. Still works, though, so I will keep for emergency back up. Love the new machine, tho. I'm really happy I got it.

Re: I though I slept REAL GOOD with it

Done. I did not see this new machine in the list. Not sure the difference between "for her" and the one I have. Not sure why there would be gender difference in the machine. Mask I can understand, but the machine?

I though I slept REAL GOOD with it

The humidifier threw me off, though. Setting of one and shortly after turning it on inside my nose felt like I was in a swimming pool with water filling my nose. I tried turning it off but that didn't help. I ended up dumping the water from the chamber. Then I could sleep. https://imgur.com/a/FN5J2RO

Re: Off of insurance compliance, what does transmitting data do for me?

Yeah well is it just a coincidence that I had an app on this device that turned out to be owned by Baidu which is in turn owned by the Chinese government and which left files behind even after I deleted the app and after making that remark about spy parts being made in China (as with their Huawei p...

Re: Medicare allowable charge?

That's talking about your intitial enrollment period which you've already passed. You would get another one (Sep) should you drop it and want to sign up later. You can sign up again any time you're still covered by your spouse's insurance OR within 8 months of it ending, and not get a penalty. But i...

Re: pneumonitis

I've had mold in my humidifier. Never got pneumonia from it but it was kinda nasty smelling.

Re: Medicare allowable charge?

I was told there are some limited circumstances it might pay but that for the most part it wouldn't. I'm guessing your husband had a procedure that wasn't covered by the primary at all and it is covered by Medicare. That's one situation they told me would probably be covered. But things like co-pays...

Re: Medicare allowable charge?

You should drop your part B. Part B will not pay for anything at all when you have a primary insurance so you're wasting your money paying the premium. Call Medicare and ask, which is what you should have done in the first place. You should not need to spend $500 in a year on masks and things. I've...

Re: Off of insurance compliance, what does transmitting data do for me?

This is most likely why you can't sleep with your machine...You are worried about all this conspiracy crap. NPR must be a conspiracy site if it publishes articles addressing the data mining gleaned from CPAP machines Sleep aid or surveillance device? https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2018/1...
