Intellipap Smartlink download problem
I mostly lurk here and seldom post, but I have a problem that maybe someone on the forum has already experienced and can help me fix this. I replaced my old, cranky Resmed s8 elite II with a Devilbiss Intellipap Auto and the software package. I downloaded the software and also Sleepyhead. Everything...

Software compatible with Windows 8?
Hi folks, It's been a long time since I've posted, but I have popped in from time to time to lurk a while. I am considering the Intellipap Auto for my next machine, since my Resmed S8 Elite II is 5 years old and the thing is getting cranky with starting. I prefer to go with an auto this time for a n...

Re: The Nuts and Bolts of PAP therapy
Karen, I haven't posted here for quite a while, but I log in and read posts every now and then, just to see what's going on in the XPAP world. Thanks for the link to the webinar. Very informative for sure. I was surprised at the advances just within the past couple of years. I am still using my orig...

Re: Which full face mask do you recommend?
I love my mask but I dont love the forehead marks and dents it leaves. I am do to get a new complete mask in December. So in the mean time I am searching on what is the best full face mask to purchase. Before I completely try a new mask I am going to try to get one of those padacheek things. I just...

Re: Quattro users - how do you clean your mask?
Hi, I don't take my Quattro apart every day. Maybe once every couple of weeks, I separate the components and soak them in a mild solution of Dawn dish soap, rubbing the cushion a bit to be sure it's all clean. Rinse well and air dry. Nite nite time: wash my face and wipe the cushion with the same so...

Re: Throwing the FullLife in the Ring: PC11
I signed up, today! My DME can't get the FullLife yet and I REALLY want to try it. I have used the Quattro exclusively since I began therapy last December. It's a great mask for me, but I would like to change the pressure points on my face once in a while. Keeping my fingers crossed that I am one of...

Re: I really want...
This was the mask I wanted, and the DME said they didn't have any, so i ended up with the Mirage Quattro, The ComfortGel is the one that got used on me in my sleep study. Hi, I have the Mirage Quattro also. It caused a sore on the bridge of my nose, leaks weren't bad, but it hurt. A bit of moleskin...

Re: Off topic ( Smoking )
Thanks to all who have replied. I quit cold turkey when I was living in California back in 1981. Was taking martial arts classes and couldn't compete with younger students who didn't smoke, so I decided that's it and the first month was pretty tough. Three years later, back in Illinois I was with a...

Re: Is it Illegal to Change Settings on One's CPAP Machine?
I'm not an RT. I'm a patient who has heard conflicting things about the legality of pressure setting changes, and just trying to sort out fact from fiction. My 2 cents: I paid an exhorbitant price for a glorified blow drier that now belongs to ME. It is MINE to do with whatever I choose. My Dr. wro...

Re: Re:
I agree, if fed into the main stream it becomes diluted. I used this set-up, concentrator / cpap, for a year. My DME provider set it up. Cost me and my insurance approx. $700 a month. Then the light went on. Told them to take the concentrator back, had to fight to get my doctor to agree to send it ...

Re: On or Off when getting up to use bathroom?
The respironics will not even start a new sleep cycle unless you have it turned off for 60 minutes. Just hit the off button, remove the hose from the mask, go, attach hose to mask and turn machine back on. Don't even have to dislodge your mask! What about the Resmed S8 series? Resmed S8 series also...

Re: CPAP with O2
My husband had a sleep study done in January and he told me they put oxygen on along with the cpap. While we were waiting for results of his sleep study(about 2 weeks or so) I went ahead and put him on my backup machine which is an Auto Respironics M Series with A Flex. The next day after using it ...

Re: PurSleep Product Safety
So talk about a quadrouple-whammy: essential oils, including camphor, mixed with hot petroleum jelly slathered all over sick kids' faces, noses, and chests to be inhaled all night. And we're talking about children--not adults. That's pretty close to Tweety Bird if you ask me. Or your cat. So then I...
