Re: Swift LT help

Thanks for replies. Actually the edges of my nostrils didn't get sore, it was air blowing up that made my nose sore. The inside of my nostril just feels irritated. I do hope I can adjust to this mask. Rooster, I love your sense of humor. Yes, the exhaust does make a shhhh sound. Thank goodness my hu...

Swift LT help

Last night was my first night to try the LT. I lowered my pressure from 10 to 7 so I could get use to the pressure directly going up my nostrils. I really had trouble with it. I slept about 1 1/2 hours and then had to take it off. Before going to sleep I kept it on about one hour. Does this get any ...

Help with ResMed Escape S8

I know that the ResMed Escape is only data compliance, but I would like to change the pressure on my machine. I went to the DME today and asked them to change the pressure for me but they said they had to have my doctor's prescription or okay. I then asked if he would show me how and he said no. I a...

Re: Stupid Hose...

I drape my hose over my headboard also. When I first started on cpap I let it hang down off the side of the bed, but the weight of the hose pulled on my mask. Turning the nozzle up and draping over the headboard works great. I have a scarf I drape over the headboard under the hose so that when I mov...

Re: surgery an option?

I maybe should start another chain here, but to follow up I would like to know what are the different types of surgeries? I know tonsilectomy is one thing that the doctors do. What are the other types of surgeries that help with sleep apnea? The nurse practitioner that I saw as a follow up to sleep ...

Re: 41 Secrets Your Doctor Would Never Share

This is the one I like the most also. I would like to know they cared that much. However, they would all be very stressed if they took all our problems home with them.

Though we don't cry in front of you, we sometimes do cry about your situation at home.

Re: Greedy Doctors?

Having a son who has just started practicing medicine, I see things differently now than I did before. I know how much medical school cost. I've seen the years of work and dedication to studies and doing without that it took before he became a practictioner. I know how much mal practice insurance co...

Re: Odd eye problem

Your script sounds almost like something I could have written. I also awaken with the stuck lid and awful pain under the eyelid. I use Soothe to help with my dry eyes. I put drops in in the morning and at night before I go to bed.

Restless Leg Syndrome

Yesterday I went for a CPAP follow up with the nurse practitioner. She asked me how I was doing and I told her that I was sleeping all night with my mask now, but my average from starting date to now (about 81 days) was 5 1/2 hours. I told her I could not feel a whole lot of difference from when I s...

chin strap

I have a deluxe chin strap about 2 1/2 inches wide that really just smothers me. So, I fixed a new one for last night. I bought a one inch strip of elastic and cut it to the desired length to wrap under my chin and around the edge of my face to the top of my head. I then took a ladies cloth head ban...

Re: Update on spitting out carpet tacks...

When I had my second titration to determine pressure, I asked the DME if I would be able to read the data off of my machine. She said that I didn't need to because I would know if it was working by the way I felt. I was pretty naive then and said okay. Now I know that I should have insisted on a dat...

Congratulations, I was thinking the same thing as Deb, why wait?, but then you answered her. I understand completely. It is always fun to plan and look forward to a vacation and to have something to celebrate as well.
