Re: Disneyland with CPAP

Even if you do not tape your mouth, take along a roll or two of micropore or paper tape to suspend the hose from the headboard. Remove it each day when going out and put the hose and mask in a drawer or your carry case so cleaning staff don't mess with it (and so they don't freak out and complain to...

Re: Encore Pro for $60 - is this a good price?

I just noticed that you do not have a Respironics machine. Encore Pro only works with a Respironics data capable machine. I appreciate your response; my post was as an FYI for those Respironics users who might be interested, not for my use. Your first response confirmed what had been my earlier sus...

Re: Don't like it much...

This is a club/crew/mob NOBODY ever wanted to join. But like the press gangs of old, the choices were few and decidedly less appealing. Just think of it as an opportunity to live a little longer (with a new, part-time umbilical cord).

ResMed S8 Compact on eBay

FWIW - there is relatively new S8 Compact with H3i currently listed on eBay with a bid of $100 (when I checked). If eBay does not remove it, it could be a good travel or backup machine for someone. The seller says he used it for five days before being put on BiPAP. The listing number is 280341789634...

Dizzy Gillespies would probably agree were he still alive.

I have been told the condition illustrated in the picture of him above, has come to be known medically as "Gillespie Cheeks."

Re: My sleep doc and my DME

JimW, do you mean among forum members here? I would be quite willing to do so, but my husband is going in for his own sleep lab study next Monday night May 4th and I'm hoarding extra masks right now for him to try in case we're the same size..... He's only going to be in the USA for 29 days so the ...

lucky you. let us know which of the masks you like and which you don't
Adding to that comment: consider donating the ones that don't work for you to a trial rotation. Not every mask is a loser - or winner - for everyone.

There has to be a charge.
Lawyers don't seem to have the same problem - perhaps they should get together and create a new specialty.

FWIW, Microsoft Software Forums Network has a fairly deep thread related to this question; it may provide additional insight.

Re: Bad Power in Hotel: CPAP Needs Servicing.

If you got it from an authorized dealer, regardless of web or B&M store, they should be able to facilitate repairs. One thing you might do is register the unit with Respironics as if nothing is odd. http://mseries.respironics.com/register/productregistration.aspx is the registration dialogue box for...

Re: Somnoplus vs Soyala Nasal...what's the difference???

I don't have any first-hand information to add to a comparison of these two masks. However, I would like to make an observation that raises questions for me: I assume the cost of return insurance for masks from CPAP.com reflects the probability of return from a first-time purchaser of a mask. The qu...

AMTRAK 120V output sinusoidal?

I just got back from a ten-day trip to Charleston, SC from Orlando, FL via AMTRAK. Though the trip each way was during the day and not long enough to warrant using CPAP, I noted 120V outlets for each set of seats. I think this power is derived from batteries; does anyone know if they provide a true ...

Re: IntelliPAP Auto 19, M Series Auto A-Flex 11

I'm not a statistician or someone trained in evidence-based scientific studies. But it makes me uncomfortable to read that the competition gave equal valence to both functional and aesthetic features. I'd much prefer a conclusion that delineated between the 2: the presence of a power brick (for exa...

Re: my liberty mask is yellow and i have had it for 2 weeks

First, I'd insist on a new mask. A "demo" is probably not what you paid for or your insurance. I'd want one I see come out of the new package. Yours is yellow because of either sunlight, oils from face of other users, improper cleaning or other such factors. Improper care and cleaning can cause thi...
