Re: AirCurve10 humidifier tank air leaks
for about two months Why not take it back to your local DME for replacement? That would be too easy! Seriously, it has been looked at by them. They could find nothing wrong. The manufacturer basically told me to take a hike after I told them. In fact, they cut me out of the MyAir thing. Not that be...

AirCurve10 humidifier tank air leaks
I have had an AirCurve™ 10 VAuto BiLevel Machine with HumidAir™ Heated Humidifier for about two months. I have noticed an issue with the gasket of the humidifier tank--it is prone to having air leaks. The leaks go away when I squeeze the tank, but I think they're coming back at night while I am asle...

Re: Dealing with High Pressures
Thanks! I'm actually more Northeast of Hell. I've actually never been to Hell, but who knows... maybe one day, I'll see it for myself.

Re: Dealing with High Pressures
Thanks for your time in replying. I've found the Lab Rat Awards thread and checked out the mods to the Liberty, so I've got a weekend to play. If I can't get the Liberty working, I'll give up the Quattro and go for the Hybrid. Thank you, again!

Re: Dealing with High Pressures
That is very interesting! It's enouraging that your inhale pressue is just as high as mine. The nasal pillows don't blow out? If not, I'm thinking I need to get a copy of my prescription and get moving on getting that mask as I am literally at the end of my rope dealing with my current mask.

No, I haven't. I take it your pressures are high, as well?
Thanks!

Dealing with High Pressures
Hi, Since August, I've been on BiPAP therapy with pressures of 16/20. (16 exhale, 20 inhale.) I'm using a Quattro Full Face mask and here's the problem: The mask has to be so tight to seal that: 1) Left really bad cuts on my nose; 2) Left really bad indentations/sores on my cheeks, and; 3) Swollen a...

Re: "Best" mask for BiPAP
I have a similar issue to yours. My bipap issues started Friday when I got my machine. I have the same mask as you and I can't get the fit right to stop leaks at 20/16 pressures. I can't use my favorite mask (Resmed Mirage Liberty) because the pressure blows out the nasal pillows, so I'm feeling stu...

Re: Second night on APAP, questions
Scott, This is nothing against you, but I've been saying for a long time that trying to do this therapy with an Auto and without the software is basically an exercise in frustration. Too many things going on and variables that can't be "seen" that drive pressure changes. If you want to "de-frustrat...

Re: Second night on APAP, questions
Two new things that happened today as I slept in advance of going to work. I performed a test. I lay in bed, still for an hour--awake--then after an hour, and no events by me that would cause anything to change, no leaks, no nothing, the machine bolted to 15. Then, after a power off/on, I fell aslee...

Re: Second night on APAP, questions
I won't have the software and reader until after Christmas, but I'll be certain to post results once I get them. Thanks!Wulfman wrote:If you're asking about Scott's settings......I'd have to see some reports first.DoriC wrote:Den, Curious to know what you would recommend for settings.

Re: Second night on APAP, questions
[quote="Wulfman Yes.......Leaks and snoring will definitely drive up pressures. If you're going to use such a wide range of pressures, you shouldn't be surprised to see it happen. You're probably going to snore more at lower pressures. Then, if your mask is adjusted to the LOWER pressure, by the tim...

Second night on APAP, questions
Hi, I just finished my second night on my new APAP machine -- I had been using a bare bones CPAP machine--and I have some questions because I don't have EncoreViewer and the card reader, yet. My range for treatment is 7-15 and was arrived at based on my tritation study in September where the ranges ...

Re: Problems getting APAP machine
I thought I'd put an update in this thread so those who are interested can get context regarding what I'm about to write. If you read this thread you'll see that I've been put through a bit of ringer with Apria Healthcare. Today, they fixed that and then some. I was scheduled an 8am appointment toda...

Re: Problems getting APAP machine
Birdshell, Thanks! I've already complained to my insurance company three times about Apria. One, was about the disparity in advice given to me when compared to that given to a coworker who has the same insurance as I; the advice was about the schedule for "consumable" items such as mask inserts, she...
