Re: Did you feel better right away???

Thank you to those who responded to my question (Did you feel better right away"). It helps to hear your personal experience. I know that no two people will experience this in the same way but it does help to learn that not everybody wakes up in the morning feeling great and full of energy. I will l...

Did you feel better right away???

I have been living the CPAP experience for a little over four months now. It has gotten easier with a new mask that seems to be working for me and I am really good about using the machine every night for most of the night. My husband says that I appear to be sleeping soundly and (even better for him...

Re: Has anyone started an exercise program after starting CPAP

I started working out with a personal trainer about 7 months ago two times a week. I have to get there by 6:00 a.m. which was harder before starting CPAP a month ago. It's pretty expensive but if you (like me) can find ANY excuse to not work out - I have to recommend finding a certified trainer who ...

Re: ABCD's of Sleep Apnea Treatment

I don't see where anyone has tagged the letter "G" with anything yet so I apologize for skipping to the letter "H".
H is for the humor you need to keep going in the early days of getting used to wearing a mask and looking at yourself in the mirror. Humor sure takes me a long way throughout the day!

Re: Rest in Peace

To Snoredog's family - Your dad meant a lot to people on this forum. I have only been logging in a month but your dad answered my first post on December 2nd and offered me advice which I took (and made the situation better). That is an amazing legacy to leave. Please accept my sympathy for your fami...

Re: Lonely, frustrated and depressed about CPAP, cannot sleep

Sorry to hear about your frustration and I feel your pain (CPAP user for 3 weeks). I keep waiting for the "miracle" to happen. But as I have found out this is a great forum because you will not feel alone or odd or unusual. You have a lot of company. I am trying to take it one night at a time (every...

Re: OSA diagnosis and emotional acceptance

Thank you to the first-responders to my posting on dealing with the emotional aspects of an OSA diagnosis. Your words and wisdom are greatly appreciated. It really helps to know there is a "community" out there I can tap into and hopefully at some point, be helpful to someone else just starting out.

OSA diagnosis and emotional acceptance

Thank you to anyone who responds to my posting. As a new CPAP user (8 nights with a loaner machine from my sleepdoc), I am very grateful that there is something that can help me escape from the serious health issues associated with severe OSA (about 65 episodes per hour). I am able to keep the mask ...

Re: New CPAP user can't stop sneezing. Help!

Thanks to all for responding. This was my first post post-severe apnea diagnosis. it's very nice to know there is a group out there that can help out with these kinds of questions. I did try a Claritin last night and in my case, it seems to have made all the difference today. Thanks again. I am sure...

New CPAP user can't stop sneezing. Help!

I have just spent two nights on a loaner machine (before getting my own equipment). I have been sneezing and sniffling all day. Is this normal? Many thanks for any help you can give.
