Thank you for you're advice BeanMeScot, He went to see the sleep doctor on wensday, they said try to fine tune the humidifier, and if that didn't work, call them in 2 weeks and they will up his pressure. I will turn his ramp off and see if that works! thanks again

Cpap to Bipap

My husband has had his machine Resmed Elite S8, pressure of 11, for 3 months now. It is not going very well. He is compliant to his theraphy, but he feels he is not getting enough air to breath. He wears a FFM. Would it be dangerous for him to try my bipap, pressure of 22/16? Just needed some advice...

IWelcome to the froum, I also got really lucky with my DME, 2 hours after being released from the hospital, it was at my door step, they showed my how to use it, what numbers to look for, what some of them meant. My presure was decrease because of what i call the blow fish effect. My mouth would fill up with air, I tape, so hence the "blow fish effect".Just been to the primary doctor for a check up, blood work showed everything is fine!

I use the Swift nasel pillows, and have a good deal of luck with them. My pressure is set at 21/16, with a bleed in of 6 litters of O2.
