mask settings for Auto II

I have the mirage quattro mask. The setting on my res med auto II was for the Ultra. I changed it to the "mirage full". I don't see much difference in the numbers. My AHI is still in the 11 ish range. My AI is in the 4-5 range. Leaks are about .02. How''s that sound?

Help with AHI #'s

I have been on the hose for about three months. I have just started checking the menu and finding daily #'s. My leak rate is low, 0.26, but my AHI is 13.6. The AH was 6.1, HI 7.5 From what I have read it seems high. I can't seem to find my sleep study results (I put them somewhere "safe"), so I don'...

APAP AND HIATAL HERNIA

I have had two surgeries in the past two years for hiatal hernia repair. I started using an A-Pap 3 months ago. Recently I started with some bloating and distension. I am wondering if the cpap use is going to effect my hernia due to the air in my stomach. I hate to have to schedule a Drs. appt. just...

Re: That other forum

I don't know what other forum you are talking about, but I would venture a guess that it has a yellow background and more farts than my FFM when the machine ramps to 14.

Re: Autoset ll Problem?

I've had the same problem with my machine a few times. In the middle of the night the mask is blowing off my face and won't quit. I have to turn it off and then on again.

Re: made-to-order masks

If I were younger and had money to start a business I certainly would go that route. I don't know why a mold of the face can't be made and a mask or even a pad/gasket thingy couldn't be made to fit the contours of the face. I'm thinking of getting a piece memory foam and cutting a pad for the edges ...

Re: Cpap & cold/sinus

I have a bad cold/ sinus problem now, too. Let me tell you ...... sneezing with a FFM is quite an experience. I wasn't sure what would happen first ....... my eardrums pop or my eyeballs go flying across the room. I've been two nights without Cpap, but there is no way I could keep it on. Colds suck!!!

Re: CPAP is addictive!

I agree with all of you. I have only been on 2 months and I also look forward to going to bed . I'm not in love with the FFM, but I can deal with it, and fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow..

Re: Uh oh - sleep lab bill came...

You got Coffee ?????? I guess the fact that my two (one for titration) studies were under 4K each, was because they didn't include coffee. I had my diaphram repaired (hiatal hernia) this summer and it was almost 50K total. I am expensive, huh?

Re: weight and sleep, cpap vs surgery

I am way overweight and 61 yrs. old. I lost 120 lbs. ( I put it back on) along time ago and was told my snoring wasn't as bad. Losing weight can't hurt, but there is no way I would have surgery. I have been using APAP for almost two months and it is like a miracle. I always slept, but never rested. ...

Re: OT- BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (WELCOME TO MY WORLD)

I know all about lake effect snow. Only, we call it ocean effect. I'm originally from Cape Cod and we can really get dumped on at times. I am still in Mass., but inland and we should get a coating on the grass today. It's my birthday so I am happy about it. I love snow that I don't have to shovel.

Re: So who had night ssweat before CPAP?

Reading this made me realize that in the month or so that I have been "hosed", I no longer sweat at night. I am a 60 yr. old female, so menopause was not the issue.
I also have not had much trouble with my IBS. I think I have only had one bout of it since APAP.
