Re: CPAP for 4 months...why am I so tired again?
Sorry for not responding sooner - been traveling a lot the past couple weeks. Quick update: I managed to take my equipment into the shop where I purchased it and discovered a few things: 1) No leaks have been recorded the past month. 2) AHI and all other data they could read off the machine were exc...

CPAP for 4 months...why am I so tired again?
Hi - I've been a CPAP user for 4 months now and things have been going well - the usual bumps in the road but overall a big improvement. Just recently though, I've noticed I'm very fatigued and taking frequent naps again. What's behind this? Could a leaky mask be the culprit? Or could it be a normal...

Re: Surgery as an option?
Thank you all for the replies - this is exactly what I was looking for.
I appreciate everyone's patience as I did not even understand that there are multiple surgery types (nor did I have any luck searching the archives).
Great forum!

Wife: Why don't you get a surgery - my brother and your cousin both did? Me: I don't like the idea of someone cutting my throa...

Re: YAWN (Yet Another Weary N00b)
Just to clarify a couple things: 1) I don't have the equipment yet. I'm going to some kind of equipment provider next week. I did tell the Doctor that I wanted a fully data capable machine as he was writing the prescription. He smiled and nodded and said that wouldn't be a problem. I presume there m...

YAWN (Yet Another Weary N00b)
Hi All - I've been lurking for a while but since I got my sleep assessment results today, I thought I would post the data. Summary: Test #1 (initial sleep study) - Moderate sleep apnea / Respiratory Disturbance Index (RDI...same as AHI?) of 19.6 events/hour (but 40.5 in REM!!). - Loud continous snor...
