Re: Cancer
Just an assumption on my part, but usually the burning smell comes when you run out of water during the night. The water chamber becomes an empty pot on a hot stove and smells. If this is occuring, lower your humidity. Add a room humidifier is miore humidity is needed. Are you in a very dry area of ...

Re: ResMed S9 Elite CPAP with H5i with 0 hours
A used machine is easier to sell if you show the "run hours". Why would you have zero hours on a 10+ year old machine?Thomash1234 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 08, 2025 8:04 pmResMed S9 Elite CPAP with H5i with 0 hours I WANT TO SELL

Re: Just started CPAP - Resmed Airsense 11 EPR Settings ON or OFF
I have been using the EPR at a setting of 2 for as long as I have been using Resmed machines...about 10+ years. As Pugsy said...it's a comfort feature to make it easier to exhale against your preessure. Unless you have very low pressure settings, I think everyone should try it to see if it helps mak...

There is no way to tell if a mask will work out for you unless you try it.

Re: Mask Leaking Only at High Pressure? Help!
What was the pressure when it woke you up? It was NOT necessarily your maximum pressure. It should have said on the scfreen.

Was the SD card in the machine all night while it was running?

Re: Airsense 10 making loud cracking noise
Could it be rainout? Water condensing in the hose and then making a popping/crackling sound.

Re: Increase Maximum pressure to 9
If your Max pressure is set at 9...that is very low for a max pressure. You can set it to anything above 9 and your machine will only go as high as necessary to stop an apnea....even if you set the max to 20, it will only go as high as needed.

Re: My son refuses to use his Cpap
Hello, I'm seeking advice on my 15-year-old son's sleep apnea machine. He refuses to use it, saying it keeps him awake. With Type 1 Diabetes and Graves' disease, he's overwhelmed by the additional monitoring tasks. Unfortunately, I can only monitor from a distance as he lives with his mother who do...

Re: Florida Blue won't pay for a follow-up sleep test
Depends on the insurance. I had my first sleep test in 2008 (Medicare) that determined that I had sleep apnea. Never had an other until I requested one in 2024. I had 4 machines during those 16 years.

Re: Free AirSense 11 Humidifier Tank (New in Box)
Some time ago I decided to stop using my AS11 humidifier as I found it of no benefit to me and a lot of extra work. I’ve repeatedly tried to get my DME provider to stop sending me one every 6 months along with the needed supplies, but with no resolution. So now they are starting to pile up (I have ...
