Re: FULL FACE MASK FOR SIDE SLEEPERS
I use the Mirage Quattro Medium FFM and am a side sleeper too ... I've found that by using a "Contour" brand pillow that it helps. The contour pillow has sections cut out of it that match the location of where the mask is on your face. As you know already the Mirage Quattro has four contact points w...

Re: Can sleep apnea kill?
Sleep Apena can definitely kill you both directly and indirectly as stated here by others. I personally know of four individuals who were killed directly by sleep apnea. 1) My Aunt died of suffocation during her sleep. She was never diagnosed as having sleep apnea, but all of her siblings have been ...

Re: Supplemental Oxygen
I use 3LPM and have used the oxygen suppliment as long as I've been using my CPAP ... I've tried getting off of it once or twice but my o2 levels drop as low as 70% without it, so I guess I'm stuck with it for now ... on the brighter side, I feel a whole lot better with it than with out and my numbe...

Re: New Machine and I HATE IT
I'm not all that familiar with the Resmed product line, I use a Respironics model myself, but if it is anything like the respironics models I'm betting that you may be able to change the settings without the use of a card reader ... although having the card reader would make your therapy a lot easie...

Re: Dr. ON MONDAY, PLEASE HELP
It really comes down to personal preferences, the two top manufacuturers are Respironics & Resmed, they both make good machines ... what you really want to make sure you get is a machine that is data capable. I personally have the Respironics REMstar Pro 2 M series with the CFLEX and I wouldn't go a...

Re: How long do you use your mask before replacing the seal ?
I learned from Resmed that the Mirage Quattro FFM seal (cushion & clip) was engineered for a life expectancy of 3 - 6 weeks, the entire mask for 4 - 6 months ... I'm lucky to get four weeks from a new seal (cushion & clip) but my last mask made it for 7 months ... ...

Re: Inconsistent reliability of mask
TiredGirl ... I think a lot of us here have gone through similar circumstances at one time or another. My pressure is high as well (20 cm h2o), and I've had my share of struggles ... over time I've learned what works for me and what doesn't. It's my opinion that the higher the pressure the less it t...
