Re: Mirage Liberty Full face nasal pillow leaks...Help anyone!!!

As mentioned a light coat of Lansinoh cream applied to the nostrils about half an hour before going to bed will help the pillows seal. I also roll a cotton ball and insert it between the pillows so they won't collapse inward and tie one of my wife's knee highs around my head and across the pillows t...

Re: TRUCKERS

One of our over the road drivers uses his cpap in the sleeper. Depending on what brand of machine is being used, it is my understanding that some will run on 12 volt straight from the outlets most truck have available and some will not. A power inverter will solve the problem, and they are available...

Re: Driver59 is 60years old tomorrow, 1st of May!

Froro,
I wish easy labour for your friends, and that the little ones arrive in perfect health. The 1ST of May is a good day to be born, although I don't think it was known as MAYDAY!! until my mother gave birth to twins on that day 60 years ago.

Re: Driver59 is 60years old tomorrow, 1st of May!

Marietjie,
Thank you for the birthday wishes. Quess I'll leave it at 59, too late to be 29 forever so I'll stick with 59 and maybe no one will notice.
Thanks,

Re: Nose Itches

I had that problem when using the Quattro. Switched to the Liberty, now I can scratch where it itches. I don't have a clue how to stop it, seems it never itched until I had the mask on and adjusted for a good seal. Same with an itch anywhere else, never starts 'till I get comfortable.

Re: OT Kokopelli- the gift of life

Carbonman, Absolutely beautiful! Back in 1970 there was a small campground on the edge of Golden. My brother and his wife and a friend of mine and I camped there for a few days. We drove to the top of Lookout Mt. one night and the view was just amazing. Too much beauty to put in words, you just have...

Re: OT--Thought you had breathing issues?

Since it was in his lung, maybe he thought he was smoking a little herb and it was pine instead. Got to be careful what you're inhaling!

Re: Now I see what ya'll are talking about.

Two guy's in a day cab with all they need for a week is tough, barely enough room for one. The driver I usually room with is on cpap too and we keep our machines in the cab, but he just bought a water proof box to mount on the deck behind the cab to put his bag and cooler in. He is in a Freightliner...

Re: Now I see what ya'll are talking about.

I drive a Volvo day cab. I put my machine on the jump seat with the strap around the back of the seat to keep it from falling. I carry my hose hanger and my pillow in my suitcase. I have a small standup type with wheels that fits between the jump seat and the dash. Being diabetic I carry a small coo...

Re: water additives??

DreamStalker,
Thanks, never thought much about whether using sea salt was good or not. Ran out of non iodized salt and had sea salt so started using it. I read somewhere on the net to use pickling salt or canning salt and I have some, would that work as well?

Re: water additives??

I know what you mean about the Netti Pot. Let's see put enough water in one nostril so that it runs out the other nostril, nope didn't sound like a good idea to me. I did though start nasal irrigation a couple of months ago and it really isn't a big deal. The relief I got from it was well worth givi...

Re: Now I see what ya'll are talking about.

plr66,
Have been using my new machine for the last 3 nights and I have to say I'm pretty impressed with it. Now the only problem is I don't know if I want to use it for travel or keep it for my every night machine. Thanks for your concern, I really appreciate it.

Re: Now I see what ya'll are talking about.

Marietjie, It looks very similar to the double edge pillow on the Papillow web site. I made a pattern from a piece of newspaper, and took it to my wife's sister along with one and a half yards of quilted material that I purchased at a local fabric store. She cut the material according the the patter...
