RemZzzs

Has anyone tried RemZzzs mask liners? http://www.remzzzs.com/ Do they work? I am having a problem with leaks at the moment, I think due to increased humidity cause it's summer and I thought these might help.

Re: Can't read my data Encore ????

I am having the exact same problem So frustrating that Respirionics doesn't think this is important enough to fix

Can someone post instructions on how to erase the data from your Smart Card please I think I'll try that and see if that helps me.

Didgeridoo playing helps decrease OSA: a new study

Just came across this article that looks whether tongue and other upper airway exercises help reduce OSA symptoms. Researchers at the University of Sao Paulo in Brazil found that these types of exercises, including playing the didgeridoo, actually decreased the severity of symptoms. Here's an excerp...

While I usually sleep on my back, seems last nite I was sleeping on my side.

Are you a back or side sleeper?
I'm a side sleeper so maybe that's the problem. And I will try to drink more water- makes sense!

Mark on my face from mask

I have been using the F&P 431 for about 4 months now (100% compliant) and while I really like the mask, it is leaving a mark on my face. It's just a thin red line on my left cheek and it used to go away after about half an hour or in the time it takes me to get ready in the morning. But now it doesn...

Re: cleaning your mask

Every morning I take apart my mask and soak the mask and cushion in warm water and Johnson's baby shampoo while I shower then rinse and let it air dry. Once a week I soak my mask, humidifier and hose in warm water and mild Dove dish washing soap for about an hour, then soak it for 30 minutes in a so...

Re: Mositure in my tube

I fixed this problem by placing my CPAP on the floor on a phone book, turning down the humidifier at bit and getting a hose cozy. Pad A Cheek has some great ones- http://www.padacheek.com/PAC_Hosecover.html

Re: travel without humidifier - 1st time

I find hotel rooms are frequently really dry so I always have to bring my humidifier or I risk getting a bloody nose and dry throat

Re: Another Newbie Hello (from Canada)

Welcome! Sounds like you're really doing great!

I too have gone from not imagining how I could ever get used to sleeping with CPAP to not being able to imagine sleeping without it. It's definitely not always an easy road but it's very much worth the effort.

Re: Can't fall asleep

When I first started CPAP I would have trouble falling asleep because I was paying too much attention to my breathing. To fix this I turn on a humidifier or fan so I can't hear the sound of air rushing in and out of the machine while I breath. I also find it really helpful to have a bed time routine...

Re: Whats the average time most users wear cpap a night????

Between 7 and 7.5 on weeknights and sometimes up to 10 on weekends. I don't usually nap but if I do, the mask goes on. After the first few weeks of getting used to CPAP and struggling to find the best FFM for me- I've worn it every single night except two when I was feeling really nauseous. Before C...

Re: customs for cpap in canda

I would echo Linus and recommend that you avoid UPS. I ordered some CPAP stuff (not from CPAP.com though) shipped via UPS and I had to pay over $70 in duty. I think you can apply to have the money reimbursed but I not exactly sure how that works.

Sleep study results

I just got my full results from my first sleep study from my doctor. I know I have severe OSA but I'm wondering how I compare in other areas. For instance- How much REM sleep are you supposed to get? Was my oxygen saturation low? And I'm also not sure how to read the graphs on the sleep analysis rep...
