Re: Apria rental / purchase / maintenance

What did you find out from Aetna? From what I remember I called Aetna first and they gave me a list of "in network" dme's. It's important to call because their providers list can change during a contract year. I didn't know one dme from another, so I looked at location since it appeared that I woul...

Re: feedback wanted any sleep number bed users

We've had our Sleep Number bed for 10 yrs. and as another poster said for me it is misery sleeping on any other bed. I get really sore and so glad to get back home to my own bed. We bought ours because we were both having back pain and it has helped tremendously. Ours is not a pillow top and was the...

Re: Read this if you are taking Metoprolol Succinate ER

I received my refill of Toprol XL with no problem (I guess my insurance is not balking at the name brand in this case). I also found out that CVS is carrying the generic from another manufacturer, but after this I'm not sure I want to go back to the generic if I don't have to. I didn't find out any ...

Re: Read this if you are taking Metoprolol Succinate ER

I'll report back tomorrow. I called in a refill on the Toprol XL that I was given instead of Metoprolol Succ ER, but I'm not sure if the RX number reflects that. I do have a paper script from my Dr. for Toprol XL in case there is a problem refilling it. I think I'm going to ask the pharmacist just t...

Re: Read this if you are taking Metoprolol Succinate ER

I'm now having issues with my doctor. His office staff is pitiful and can't find my file, thus can't/won't make an appointment for me (I was last there the middle of Oct and the pharmacy called them last week for a refill approval, so they should have had it at that time). I am going to call the off...

Re: Read this if you are taking Metoprolol Succinate ER

According to this article it may be in short supply from the other manufacturers who produce it.

I'm sticking with my original plan to talk to my doctor about it. It sure wasn't widely publicized, was it?

Re: Read this if you are taking Metoprolol

Apparently the product in question is Metoprolol Succinate ER. The release date on the recall is Dec. 8, 2008. I picked up my script last week of metoprolol tartrate 50 mg. and no mention of it getting recalled. The name brand is Lopressor as mentioned in the above post. Check to see which form you...

Read this if you are taking Metoprolol Succinate ER

This is in regard to Metoprolol a medication for high blood pressure and irregular heartbeat among other ailments. My thinking is that since Sleep Apnea can cause high blood pressure there might be several here to whom this applies, thus my reasoning for posting this here. I went to pick up my refil...

Re: Apria rental / purchase / maintenance

Apria told me the same thing and I have Aetna, too. I didn't end up using Apria as my DME and I didn't ask my current DME to see if they told me the same. I was just satisfied to get a brand new APAP versus the bare bones, used CPAP that Apria was offering me. My plan with Aetna offers 100% on the r...

Colds and vitamin ZZZ

I thought you might find this article interesting. Although no mention is made of sleep apnea it stresses the importance of getting adequate rest in relation to preventing the common cold.

Re: Smart Card Problems - Edited: Problem solved

Try cleaning your gold contacts on the card by lightly rubbing with a pencil eraser to remove the oxidation. How old is your card? This is one of the first things I tried and my card is not even 2 months old, so I didn't think that was the problem, but I didn't know if repeated insertion and remova...

Re: Smart Card Problems - Edited: Problem solved

New Update - I just wanted to include this information so if someone has the same problem they have another option to try. Here's the story. Today I follow all the steps we determined were necessary to read the card properly and I get the same error message, so I reboot the system and try again - sa...

Re: Smart Card Problems - Edited: Problem solved

XP, Service Pack 3, Encore Pro 1.8i.49. Correct on the card reader - mine says the same Rev F. I plugged the reader in after the system was booted up (made sure to use the same USB port - always do) and then put the Smart Card in the card reader before starting Encore Pro, waited for the light on th...
