As for me, there is no way in hell I can use a CPAP during a cold. If you literally can't breathe due to congestion and receive zero oxygen then one dies. The best solution available is to sleep on my side and deal with the situation as best I can.

This sounds like a line of BS to me. Besides, a competent doc should not have a problem with APAP's.

Check the meds that one is taking because there are quite a few of them that impair the absorption of B-12. PPI' s as the above poster mentions. If you are taking metformin that is another.
