Re: Note: Opinions from Newbies are VERY Welcome Here
I mean, even if it was a misunderstanding, can't people forgive and just move on? Life is too short for all this mess, holding grudges, and trying to "get even," even when the offense is real, and this one sure doesn't appear to be to me. I used to be that way in life, and sometimes had good reason...

Re: Most Unusual - Any suggestions please?
How's the back these days? Actually, I was hoping that this sleep therapy might help with the pain as I was reading that sleep apnea and fibromyalgia have been linked but that is way off topic Clumped apneas wouldn't be unusual at all if most of your obstructed breathing happens (as is the case for...

Re: Most Unusual - Any suggestions please?
This is very ironic as I had to "train" myself to sleep on my back about 10 years ago because of back problemsWulfman wrote:Sleeping on one's back is generally the worst position for Obstructive Apneas (and snoring) because the tongue can fall backwards and close off your airway.

Re: Most Unusual - Any suggestions please?
I do sleep on my back 98% of the time but no history of GERD. I will try raising my EPAP tonight and see if that does not help. Is it unusual for the apneas to be clumped together like that?

Most Unusual - Any suggestions please?
Hi Everyone, I've been on Auto BiPAP for a little over a week now. My sleeping has improved but there are still some patches of sleep where I go "apnea crazy" . They appear at random times of the night. Following are three examples of my data (#2 is actually my lowest AHI I have ever received. I'm s...

Re: Please HELP me with statistics
Also I would like some feedback regarding if I am doing anything wrong? I am kind of doing this without my doctor as he is clueless. Just wanted to know if I am off base with any settings, etc.
The report can be found here:

Thanks in advance,
Doug

Re: Please HELP me with statistics
Hello Everyone! Well, I was able to get the prescription for an auto BiPAP machine and had my first night last night using it. I know this is only one night's data but the AHI is still about 10. Could someone take a look at the report and give me some feedback on how I might improve the AHI? The rep...

GREAT! Thank you guys! All I need now is a prescription. I hope I can persuade my GP for the Auto BiPAP without a study.

Re: Please HELP me with statistics
Hi Snoredog,
Just so I know my options, do you think I could purchase a BiPAP auto and calibrate this therapy myself? (I ask this knowing it would be your personal opinion and you are not a medical doctor. I would not hold you accountable for your opinion )
Thanks,
Doug

Hi ozij and rested gal,
Thanks for the info. Do you know if my CPAP would be sell-able somewhere? What kind of resale value do they have?
Doug

Re: Please HELP me with statistics
Hey Guys, Thanks for the posts and feedback. I really like my Dr. (he is a GP) but I think he is VERY ignorant of this stuff. The people I do wonder about is the sleep lab and doctors there. I am going to go back to my GP and fill him in with all of my acquired knowledge (thanks to you guys and this...

Re: Please HELP me with statistics
No actually it was the second night. The first was just a sleep study. I actually slept 6.9 hours at the 2nd night's study, enough time to try two masks.jules wrote:yep
something is very fishy - was this a one night study - diagnosis and cpap titration both in one night?

Re: Please HELP me with statistics
Okay, so I just received my original sleep test results and it says that my RDI (or AHI) at a pressure of 15 was 16.0 with 2 Centrals per hour. There were no Centrals until the pressure of 15 was reached. I thought the goal was to get the AHI down to less than 5? Did they not take the study far enou...
