S8 AutoSet II clinical menu detailed info
New user questions. I just received an S8 AutoSet II. Yes I have the Clinical Quick Setup Guide and read through it. Where do I find detailed information on the various clinical menu options. Some of them are obvious. I could use further information on: What the EPR settings in the AUTOSET mode do e...

Re: Smart Card Reader ACR38 drivers for Windows XP PRO SP3
No wireless devices on this pc. I dug up an older hard disk with WIndows XP SP2 that used to be on this machine. I installed that disk and updated the machine to the latest M$ patches except for SP3, (I.e. same set of software and device drivers except for SP3). The software and datacard reader work...

Re: Smart Card Reader ACR38 drivers for Windows XP PRO SP3
Thanks for the suggestion, both of the Windows XP PRO SP3 machines I am using have Norton Internet Security 2008 installed (I purchase them in a 3 pack bundle), up to date, configured the same, and the Symantec install routine insists on removing any older/other versions of Anti-Virus products durin...

Re: Poll... curious about how many CPAP users smoke.
The good new is that the nicotine craving will eventually dissipate. The bad news... well, you need to quit nicotine any way you can, it's a physically addicting drug. I quit smoking cigarettes in 1982. I still consider myself a nicotine addict. This is one of the reasons I have managed to keep from...

Re: Smart Card Reader ACR38 drivers for Windows XP PRO SP3
Don't have any machines left running Windows XP SP2 on my test network. The readme.txt file lists the same drivers for all versions of Windows XP 32 bit, I.e. 3. Re: Smart Card Reader ACR38 drivers for Windows XP PRO SP3
Both machines had the driver installed from the ResScan CD version 3.07.007; Microsoft Windows VIsta SP1 lists version 1.1.5.9 dated 1/12/2007 Microsoft Widows XP Pro SP3 lists version 1.1.5.6 dated 3/24/2006 Other posts on this forum list similar issues with Windows XP SP3, and success with install...

Re: Smart Card Reader ACR38 drivers for Windows XP PRO SP3
Tried that, no go. The machine that will not recognise the card has 2GB of RAM and an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro installed, The other machines have standard lower end graphics cards. I suspect that the driver for the ACR38 card reader has issues with this configuration under Windows XP PRO SP3. I sent an e...

Re: Smart Card Reader ACR38 drivers for Windows XP PRO SP3
Thanks, I tried another machine I have running Windows XP Pro SP3, it works on it. Has to be a driver issue. I wonder if anyone knows why?

Re: Wakeup with a headache after 4 hours on CPAP
Diabetes = no. I think my question was answered. My conclusion from this post and others is to get a mask that fits without major leaks. Thanks.

Re: Wakeup with a headache after 4 hours on CPAP
Thanks, I will find a mask that fits with minimal leakage 1st. Then buy an APAP machine. I found a supplier for the Resmed 3.5 software & I am considering an S8 AutoSet II w/H4i Humidifier & ResScan Data Card Reader.

Re: Wakeup with a headache after 4 hours on CPAP
I don't know if I have centrals, I will have to get the report and read it / ask the doctor next visit. No issues with exhaling at 11, I experienced that at 9 occasionally. Will the the software for an APAP show centrals?

Wakeup with a headache after 4 hours on CPAP
I wakeup with a headache and dry mouth after about 4 hours on CPAP. The headache dissipates after a drink of water & about 10 minutes awake. When I don't use the CPAP machine I wake up without the headache and dry mouth from apneas 6 to 8 times during the night. I have approximately 1,000 hours expe...
