Re: Can DME "Reuse" xPAP Machine?
Thanks everyone, for this input. On the machine in question, my DME was the lab, which i believe is owned by my internist/pulminologist/now sleep doc apparently, or at least he has a big interest in it. I suppose he's a small operation as sleep centers go so probably doesn't want to be taking stuff ...

Request Input on Optilife Cradle Cushion and Opus360
Here's another of my feelers out on mask input. Anyone have experience with the Opus 360 or the Optilife with Cradle Cushion? I'm up for a mask interval with my insurance. Happy with the Activa LT for my workhorse and looking to try a nasal pillow. My current DME says they're getting good feed back ...

Can DME "Reuse" xPAP Machine?
Does anybody know the truth (or not) to this... Once a supplier provides the user with a CPAP machine on a monthly basis (and bills their insurance on a monthly basis), and lets say it comes back to them after a month or so for whatever reason, the DME cannot reuse that machine. I.E. they cannot giv...

Input from Vista Nasal Mask Users Please
I've finally settled on the Activa LT as my main mask. For an upcoming insurance mask replacement cycle, I'm thinking of trying something else. I have considered trying the Swift LT and see if I can make a pillow work. Since I had problems with a swift II after my titration though, I thought I might...

Re: My Favorite Mask Game.....is this the norm?
Since September I've tried 5 masks, including the Swift II pillow, which I was titrated on. Three nights of that and I had to go to a nasal mask. After a CL2, Comfort gel, Activa and now the Activa LT (including various cushion sized in each), I'm settling on the LT as my work horse mask. Actually I...

Re: Activa VS Activa LT
There is a thread I started called Activa / Activa LT Mask Feedback where I offer my lengthy 2 cents by way of my own comparison of the two masks, having used the Activa for some time. I don't know how to link that post to this one so I cut and pasted what I said below. There's also some good feedba...

Re: Sleep Number Bed
Do you have a "body heat" problem with the memory foam? I've heard that some foam is uncomfortable because of heat build-up. Please let us know your experience...... Gerald... no I don't have a body heat problem with the memory foam. Now I don't remember what brand it was, but it wasn't at Costco o...

Re: Sleep Number Bed
I have only slept on it for 2 nights, but my AHI for those two have actually been below 2.5!!! It has been out of control, way out of control. It will take a while till I get a sleep number, still tuning! I have had a sleep number bed for some time. King size. My wife likes it. I didn't so much at ...

Re: Why a One Foot Extention Hose?
Hey GumbyCT, you mentioned... I could swear my RT told me the limit was 10ft. which is why I was curious to see the .com that mentioned 12ft Here's the link to the cpap-supply.com page where I saw that statement. They were trying to sell a coupling to put two hoses together and say not to put more t...

Re: Why a One Foot Extention Hose?
Saying .com sites is kinda generic and offers no real clues. fwiw - this is a .com site. Yeah, you're right. I just couldn't remember which cpap supply site I read it on. Maybe it was cpap-supply.com. Anyway, it was in the particular product description, so I'm sure it's written to sell the product...

Re: Why a One Foot Extention Hose?
If you try and go for a 20 ft hose, you are asking for trouble(s) ... and the girls say bigger is not always better I was clicking around for hose covers and came across a comment concerning hoses on one of the .com sites that said CPAPs are calibrated for up to 12 feet of hose. I don't know if tha...

Re: Respironics Hose Cover Anyone?
Snugglehose brand SUCKS. It's cut too tight, and takes A FRICKIN' HOUR TO GET ON AND OFF. That's what I love about this site Folks here says it likes they sees it Just what I'm looking for Thanks Babbette for for your straight forward opinion. Actually I hadn't thought of ResMed and the zippered ap...

Why a One Foot Extention Hose?
I was using the ResMed Activa mask which came with one foot hose extension. I just switched to the Activa LT, which does not come with the hose extension. Any ideas why one does and the other does not? Is there any benefit to use or not use the extension hose? I went ahead and put it on my LT becaus...

Respironics Hose Cover Anyone?
Thinking about getting a fleece hose cover. I hear Snugglehose alot and was wondering about Respironics version. I don't have much of a rain out problem. Mild on occassion. I think the cover would help thought it would make the hose more comfortable in general. I thought I saw a cpap user here was s...

Re: Activa LT / Activa Mask Feedback
I recently got the LT medium and was surprised to see that they had changed the active-cell that worked so well on the original Activa. Like you say, the new design works quite well and i am happy with the minimal leakage this mask (and it's predecessor) provide. Hey MeToo - are you finding that th...
