Re: A Firefighter in Need of Help Part 2

I'm sorry, EDS? The anxiety while on my back is not something that spreads beyond that, and the dream is not an underlying fear of mine, although your concern for my mental well being is appreciated. As far as my job, I understand your concern and that is really the primary reason I'm getting this a...

Re: A Firefighter in Need of Help Part 2

Okay Bill, thanks. It just seems like I wake up more often feeling like I stopped breathing on my back. I don't seem to have much of an issue in my side, but I always still feel unrested either position, although more tired on my back. It's just my concern that I may only have one shot at this, I'll...

A Firefighter in Need of Help Part 2

Hello again everyone.  About a month or so ago I wrote you all for the first time requesting help under a similar post topic name.  Now I'm happy to report that, well, I guess I'm still in the same spot, haha. But at least I've made an appointment. It's not far off now and I'm trying to get myself p...

Re: A firefighter in need of help...

Haha, nice one. Yes, a is for airway, I get it. Actually it was just a call the other day that I was on that made me rethink my procrastination on this issue. 50-something male, CHF, dead in his house, alone. Right next to him was a CPAP machine. No he didn't die from not using it, but his cardiac c...

Re: A firefighter in need of help...

Hmm, I really don't know what to do about that. My nose has been pretty much useless when I sleep for as long as I can remember. Even after a nasal spray it will close up shortly after, never having much of a lasting effect. My tongue is huge too, haha, but I think that comes with the territory as I...

Re: A firefighter in need of help...

Well, not much headway with the insurance company today.  Just the same old run-around.  I guess I'll try again on Monday.  Any advice on how to get them to give you a straight answer over the phone?   I've definitely decided to find a new doctor though, you guys have convinced me.   I tried the app...

Re: A firefighter in need of help...

I just want to start by saying thanks for everyone's time and suggestions, it really helps.  Also, I'm sorry if I offended anyone by saying that I'm not overweight by much, I did not mean to imply that everyone with apnea is overweight, I only mentioned it because it seemed to be a big reason my doc...

A firefighter in need of help...

I'm new here so I'm very sorry if I'm reposting or if this is not in the right area, please grant me a little leeway as I am very tired. I am a 27 Y.O. Male, 6'7" and about 245 LBS.  I'm a little husky but not by much.  I am a medic and a firefighter and work all kinds of crazy hours. For as long as...
