Less sleep = more alert?
For some reason, in the last month or so, if I manage over 5 hours of sleep I wake up tired and later on in the day I become completely bogged down and worn out. But, if I sleep very little, such as the 2 hours of sleep I had this morning, I wake up fresh and ready to go and can last all day long. I...

Re: APAP or CPAP: Which is better?
glyph, does your machine have the word "A-Flex" written on top of the machine? Yes, it does. For some reason, even though I chose "M Series Auto CPAP with A-Flex" in the profile setup, it's not showing it. I have managed to unlock the various features, and I can choose Auto, which I am assuming mea...

Thank you, guys!
I'm just trying to wrap my head around all this stuff on here, and it's a lot to absorb upon finding this site.

APAP or CPAP: Which is better?
I have a Respironics REMstar M Series Auto with APAP, but the clinic set it for CPAP. Only reason I even know this is because I followed instructions from another question I asked, and determined that they had set it for CPAP since APAP wasn't even an option in my settings. I was curious, though, wh...

Re: How often should I take my card in or talk to a doctor?
All you need to worry about is keeping the overall AHI below 5 and mask leaks under control. I went through the instructions above, enabled the AHI logging, and reset the LCD display information. Keeping in mind that the stuff that was in there was over the course of 8 months, it said that I had a ...

Re: How often should I take my card/machine in?
If you get the Software and reader, (which I would), you won't have to take anything back or be bothered, unless you have to prove compliance. With the software you can printout a report if needed. The less time I spend dealing with a B & M DME, the better. Jim Ok... so where does one get the corre...

How often should I take my card in or talk to a doctor?
I started this whole sleep apnea/CPAP business last February, over 8 months ago. No one at the clinic told me that I need to come in and check on things, get cards read, or have check-ups of any sort. Then again, I haven't had much direction of any sort. They simply did the sleep study in December, ...
