For that price I wouldn't even bother with the insurance. I had previously seen some that were very high $...although I'm fine with whatever so long as it's easy to use and works very well, and is durable.

Pulse Ox...which one, where?
I have a RX for a pulse ox and my goal is to find the best one I can get and still have the insurance pay for it. I assume this is like the Cpap in that you can take the cheap, crappy one, or get the good one, you just have to know what to ask for. So...what do I ask for? I want to be able to record...

Re: Median Pressure Increasing, Why?
Thanks for the replies. I read the topic you linked, and I have no doubt that my apnea is drastically increased depending on the position in which I sleep. If I lay flat on my back with no pillow (as I was when that higher # I posted was recorded), and didn't use the machine, I would snore like a fr...

Re: Median Pressure Increasing, Why?
Ok. I understand. As far as pressure swings and consistent average AHI #'s, I'm not sure I have that, either. I can look at the averages and they seem to be pretty reasonable, but day-to-day everything moves quite a bit. I thought that was the point of the auto-adjust, to make up for differences (su...

Median Pressure Increasing, Why?
When I 1st got my Autoset 2 I set my base pressure to 6, which was below what my old CPAP was set to, which was 8. I felt like 8 was too much and wanted a starting point. I found out pretty quickly that it needed to be higher, based on the median # that was being reported by the software. I went to ...

Re: CAN ONE OF THE EXPERTS CHECK THESE NUMBERS
I don't know what my untreated AHI was, unforunately. I think the APAP works better for me, the pressure changes don't _seem_ to wake me, I feel like I sleep better because it adjusts. I don't have any diagnosed diseases or conditions, other than very high lipids which are controlled to some degree ...

Re: CAN ONE OF THE EXPERTS CHECK THESE NUMBERS
My straight CPAP was at 9, they put me on a respironics auto to check my levels and I "felt" better with it, and especially I liked that it adjusted for changes with me. I called and let them know, and like all those guys they told me I couldn't get an auto, gave me the runaround, etc...I returned t...

Re: CAN ONE OF THE EXPERTS CHECK THESE NUMBERS
I've only had the resmed about 4-5mos, before that was a FP604 straight CPAP. I've been on CPAP for over 2 years now. I feel the same as I did before, and before that...but I keep on wearing my mask, mostly to make my wife happy that I'm not snoring.

Re: CAN ONE OF THE EXPERTS CHECK THESE NUMBERS
I feel roughly the same as I've felt forever. I haven't seen my blood pressure, weight, etc go down because of CPAP, like they said I would, and I don't feel like I have any more energy. I'm glad the results look good, I thought so also, but then I see people talking about repeatedly getting .0x AHI...

CAN ONE OF THE EXPERTS CHECK THESE NUMBERS
Here are my #'s from the last 4 mos, as the ResScan software gives them to me. Can someone tell me if this is good/bad/in between? Thanks, JC Settings: Min: 7.4/Max: 16.0 EPR: OFF Total days: 147 Total days with usage under 4hrs: 3 Total days not used: 1 (not true, something must have happened to th...

Re: Snoring after switching to auto
I'm the OP, and I'll answer the one question I found in there for me.
YES, I think I'm getting enough sleep, almost always 7.5-8hrs per night.

Re: Snoring after switching to auto
7.4 min, no EPR, 16max, no humidity (but humidifier is installed and full). AHI is ~3.5, I feel as I pretty much always have, although I do seem to be a little peppier in the AM. Still after 2 years of xpap therapy I've not seen any of the supposed gains I was sold on, shy of I don't snore and my wi...

Re: Snoring after switching to auto
Not sure if anyone cares or not, and I don't care if they do or not, LOL, but I wanted to follow up with my results. AHI has gone down and snoring has stopped almost completely with just a .2 increase in pressure. I'll probably try another .2 or .4 to see if my #'s continue to go down. I did wake my...

Re: Snoring after switching to auto
Well, so far, so good. One night I had a TON of measured events, but the overall AHI for that night was still less than 4, and every day so far, other than one, has been less than 4...and my wife has not reported any snoring, so I guess that answers the question.
