Re: heated hose
I've been using mine about a year now and love it. I think the hose is rated at 12 volts. At 12 volts it was a bit too warm for me so I bought a variable voltage (6,7.5,9 &12V) power supply at Radio shack. In the fall here in the northeast US I set it to 7.5volts, in winter I go to 9 volts. 12 volts...

Re: Tips for Quattro leaks?
I have been using the Quattro for about 8 months now. At first I had all kinds of trouble with crummy looking leak lines but lately my leak lines have been relatively flat. I attribute it to the mask (or my face) "breaking" into each other. After about a couple months the mask starts to conform a li...

Re: Aussie Hose Power Requirement
Thanks guys for the info..... Jeeper: You must have been reading my mind ! I just came from Radio Shack and your connector part number converts to something else (Enercell® Adaptaplug™ M) on the RS website. I think I am going to run it at 9 volts and .8 amp though. I dont really have trouble with ra...

Aussie Hose Power Requirement
Hi, I ordered a heated hose from cpapusa but they were out of the power supplies (hose only). Can anyone tell me what the voltage and current is of the OUTPUT of the supplied power supply with their aussie hose? Input is 115V for here in the USA. I want to shop around (probably Radio Shack) for a po...

Re: BROKEN RESPIRONICS COMFORTGEL MASK? REPORT IT!
I've given up on that mask due to the breaking of the tabs. Instead of epoxy why not try Plastic Welder 2 adhesive available from Mcmaster-Carr supply company. Its part number 14340 for $12.81 per tube. I havent tried it myself but its supposed to actually fuse the broken pieces together instead of ...

I also saw live the killing of Lee Harvey Oswald on that same couch Fascinating this thing called TV. For those who dont believe we really went there download google-moon and f...

Re: opinion wanted-full face: Mirage Quattro or Ultra Mirage?
I have both but prefer the Quattro....unlike others I think the Quattro is the better quality unit. I use a medium size and the Quattro is SLIGHTLY wider than the UMFF. This for me at least makes it more stable on my face because being wider it sits around my cheek bones instead of riding on top of ...

Re: That burning sensation
My guess FWIW would be motor bearings starting to seize up and overheat.
I have no idea if they would be servicable by the ordinary guy...but being the tinkering type
if it was mine I would attempt it. But that's just me.
Just a guess.

Re: The response was overwhelming!!!
In my area (Delaware) they are offering a 3 week course for sleep technicians at our community college with new sleep centers opening.
I believe the cost is somewhere around 3 grand.
Why not get paid for our knowledge ?

Re: beeping and flashing
Mine did the same thing. It was a little oxidation build-up on the contacts of the card. I used an eraser to clean it by rubbing it (learned that trick here)....then I used a little denatured alcohol to clean off any debris left on those contacts....let it dry then I put it back. It did the trick Bill
