Re: Argh! The "Joys" of a New Machine

When traveling just put a little water bottle by your nightstand. (you can buy at most any hotel, some have courtesy free ones ) quick and easy to pour more in. I have the 11 but I don't like much humidity but I do have to refill it every few days instead of once or twice a week like the 10 and I a...

Yeah, small water tanks seem to be an endemic problem. I built my own auto refilling system for my dreamstation that fills itself when it gets to low.
I think I won't EVEN ask how you did that.

Re: Argh! The "Joys" of a New Machine

Try backing down the humidity setting to see how low you can go and still feel its benefits. My AS10 is set to 3 and I've been OK with that and still have water in the tank in the morning. I'll have to go find it in the menu -- I find Resmed menus confusing. My main thing is waking up with the back...

Re: Argh! The "Joys" of a New Machine

Expensive, but there are automatic refill devices: google CSpring MK3 Automatic CPAP Refilling System. I've seen people online who have made their own, the simplest use a rodent water bottle. I still have an Aircurve 10 which holds enough water, the smaller reservoir on the 11 is a common complaint...

If you continue to need to add water during the night what about getting a spare water chamber and having it ready on the night table for quick insertion in the middle of the night???
That's a good thought -- but it will be a nuisance to carry that extra chamber while traveling.

Argh! The "Joys" of a New Machine

Finally got around to unpacking the Aircurve 11 (Resmed ASV) and setting it up. Hm, it has a heated hose. Never had one of those before. Wonder if I should leave it naked or put a hose cover on it? And how often do I need to replace it? Oh, ye freakin' deities. That water chamber is going to drive m...

Re: CPAP with generator

I have this: https://a.co/d/d8Gewi7 It gives me a full night (without humidifier) on a charge, and you can charge it by wall outlet, plugging into the car cigarette lighter, or if you have a solar panel (solar panel does NOT come with the $99 version). You can buy larger ones with more power. No no...

Re: Feel Like I'm Starting Over....

Well, not having to select a clip, upload it to Imgur or similar, and etc. is a worthy thing.

Re: CPAP with generator

be kind of hard to take the whole house generator camping. Well, yeah... unfortunately, an auto-accident in 2017 put paid to my camping days. Not to mention hiking. I'm headed for Canada next summer and weep when I think of all the beautiful trails I could be doing.... But I did one hurricane witho...

Re: Feel Like I'm Starting Over....

Use Oscar instead https://www.sleepfiles.com/OSCAR/ and SleepHQ if you want folks to look at the complete night's data. Thank you for the link. I'll pop over and snag a copy. Oh, blast, I need to get the proper manual, too. When I got my 950, the DME mis-set it to an EPAP of 6, and a MinPS of 10 an...

Re: Feel Like I'm Starting Over....

Pugsy, Why is it the manufacturer's software always appears to be a PITA since Respironics discontinued the patient version of Encore? I actually liked that, and was able to figure out how my machine needed to be set. I remember when I first got my Beastie, and the Pain Management Doc who diagnosed ...

Feel Like I'm Starting Over....

Coming up on 17 years using a Respironics Bilevel ASV. Tomorrow, my new RESMED ASV 11 arrives.... I haven't used software for years because Encore was such a PITA, and I was sleeping quite well. But I almost feel as if I ought to keep an eye on the new Resmed for a few weeks until I'm sure of the wa...

Re: Traveling Cases

This is the one my daughter bought me. She spent several weeks in Europe out of her little carry-on , did a lot of research before she went and said this kind was what was most recommended and what worked well for her. https://a.co/d/58HnAxb That looks like a very nice case, and would definitely ke...

Re: Traveling Cases

Ozij, I can't do backpacks... my back won't tolerate them. Otherwise I know of a great one which I gifted a friend for her birthday. My friend loves this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CZ6DWVDR?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_3&th=1 I want a single case because I only have two hands. I ...
