Re: Dental appliance vs nasal surgery?!?
I had nasal surgery 4 years ago to shave my turbinates, repair my deviated septum and to repair an old fracture that hadn't healed well. This was all before I tried CPAP. I can honestly say that the nasal surgery was not effective for me at all. I still have chronic sinus infections, I still had to ...

So hwo does the SCD diet work? My daughter and I are gluten free (she has celiac disease), but what else does this entail? I can't imagine an even more restrictive diet. How do you feel on it?Kiralynx wrote:You might find http://scdgirl.blogspot.com/ of interest. She follows the same diet I do.

Re: Memory Foam Mattress Toppers
Just an FYI, as I've seen threads on this subject several times in the past few months. Target had them on sale (at least where I live) when I was there yesterday. The price I remember is a King 3" topper for $199--usually $250. Curious--Does a 3" topper fit under a standard fitted bed sheet? I got...

I haven't used that, but I used a mouthgaurd for my TMJ. I didn't use it a lot though, the way it pushed my jaw forward was not conducive to me sleeping.

Re: Pillow idea for those who sew
Another good use for buckwheat..... heating blankets. My best friend made one for me for Christmas a couple of years ago. It is long enough that I can wrap it around my waist or I can use it for the entire length of my back, which is fabulous. Here's what she did. She took a high thread count sheet ...

I tried to place an order just a little while ago and it wasn't working. Does anyone know if the website is having issues? I tried following the link to their ebay store as well, but it is saying that it doesn't exist. Am I searching for the wrong thing? Pursleep, right?

Re: PurSleep (xPAP Aromatherapy) SURVEY
I used my first sample last night, the french vanilla. It was FABULOUS. Seriously. I was skeptical. I didn't see how the smell was going to make it through all the filters on the machine to get enough scent to me through everything. It was amazing though. Just a light sweet smell. I was able to use ...

Re: Honey Effective In Killing Bacteria That Cause Chronic Sinus
I have had sinus issues my entire life. Last year, before I had my sleep study, I finally had my sinuses "fixed". They also repaired an old fracture in my nose and repaired my deviated septum. I had 4 months of agony afterwards and honestly? I am no better off than I was before I had it. At this poi...

My samples arrived in today's mail. I can't wait to try them. I appreciate the extra samples that you sent along with the 5 that I had rated. They were exactly what would have been next on my list! Thank you!

Re: Bed thread: Slightly OT
We are in a similiar situation. The problem with us though is that we need different levels of firmness in order to be comfortable. I need soft, he needs extra firm. We are looking into getting a sleep number bed, but we won't be able to afford that for a while. What we have done, temporarily, is he...

Re: DME in Fort Worth
Which part of Ft Worth are you in? Is it worth it for you to come to Dallas? My Dr is at Baylor in downtown Dallas. If you want his info I would be happy to give it to you, but I didn't know if it would be worth it for you to come that far. I have been VERY happy with the care I have gotten from him...

Re: DME in Fort Worth
Thanks for the recommendation. It is a bit late now... But so far my experience with my new DME isn't looking promising. They actually argued with me that C-Flex and A-Flex meant the same thing. That there weren't two different units. I told them they were wrong, and after a few min, they finally c...

Re: Mask Wipes?
I have been using a spray from the company LUSH to clean my mask. It is called Tea Tree Water. It is very mild and is an astringent, so it gets the oil off. I don't use it every day though, I only do it about once a week.

Re: DME in Fort Worth
I'm looking for a new DME provider in the Fort Worth area. I've heard of Accurate Medical Supply and Monitor Medical. Any opinions on either of these? Or suggestions for a different DME? If you're not comfortable voicing opinions publicly, please send me a private message. Thanks, Craig Craig, I do...
