dilfo, I'm just guessing here, but I wonder if it might be the humidity in WA. Sacramento is a dryer climate. If the humidity level is higher, and the temperature is cooler, I wonder if that creates more humidity in the mask/hose. Try turning the humidifier down to see what happens. I don't have any...

New mask
A couple of weeks ago my respironics comfort gel nasal mask broke where the headgear clip attaches to the lower portion of the mask. This is the second time this has happened. The mask was replaced for free the first time even though I'd used it for about 5 months. I think I had to strap it on so h...

This seems to be a major issue for me. I have just started to use nose drops when my congestion is bad. There are times when I go to bed, I have to open my mouth and take several large breaths of air to feel like I'm not suffocating (I use a nasal mask). When I use a nasal spray (generic for afrin) ...

I tried to talk my doctor out of going for sleep study and going on the CPAP by telling him I'd loose weight and work out and I'm sure several other things. He said great, but, until I do it, I need to be on the CPAP because of the stress to my body caused by the sleep apnea. He said if it is caused...

I too wonder when I will see results. When I went on this thing, everything I read and learned about using the CPAP said I would wake up refreshed, sleep through the night, not be tired during the day, MY BLOOD PRESSURE WOULD COME DOWN, I would loose weight. What I learned made it sound like this wa...

I hear your skepticism about this whol thing. I too am (was) wary of the sleep labs intentions and also the supplier of my equipments intentions. I continually question why I'm using the CPAP machine (started using it in September). My blood pressure is still sky high. I'm not loosing weight. I don...

I started using my cpap back in September of 2005. I use a Respironics REMstar/pro2 with the humidifier. I tried to use my cpap without the humidifier but found the air too cold, so I use the humidifier every night. I like to sleep with the heater turned down to around 60 degrees. I found that when ...
