Re: Untreated sleep apnea and antidepressants
After a year of active use of APAP, i Feel Great! It took just over 8 months to heal. Untreated OSA was absolutely the main cause of my depression. I was forced to listen my doc's opinion (In my case it's finnish health care and health incurance requirement) so i spent a bit of time with SSRI drugs ...

Re: Why adjust APAP. Isn't it auto?
It is foolish to argue with foolish sleep nurses My advice ... ditch the dumb nurse and the dumb medical equipement provider and take control of your own treatment! Unless.......you're married to the dumb nurse and the dumb DME is a brother-in-law......or they're in some way related. Spooky! Wulfma...

Why adjust APAP. Isn't it auto?
Hi! I'm sooo noob, i need desperately some smart, correct anwers for sleep-nurse, please. Arguments and questions are: 1. - Why people adjusting pressures if they have APAP? It's AutoPAP.. no need to adjust, it's automatic, you can leave it 4-20. 2. - Why patients need to see their data (even only d...

Re: Clinicians Manual for S8 Elite II
The Resmeds report everything from noon to noon w/up to 5 interruptions - or is it 4 interruptions being 5 "sleeps"?? Sleep - Interrupt - Sleep - Interrupt - Sleep - Interrupt - Sleep - Interrupt - eh, it looks like the most I've ever done is 4 in a night since xPAP. Thanks! That was very good answ...

Re: Untreated sleep apnea and antidepressants
Finally i got cpap! After one-night home-titration with apap, i have slept two quite good nights with cpap. Still tired, but i think i'm somehow more functional now. Yesterday i had headache whole day, today it's gone. Today i suddenly surprised myself: "Hey i'm playing with my 2-year old son, and i...

I think we all are sharing only opinions, not diagnosies. That's why we are posting here. Responsibility for actual actions are 110% mine. It's very encouraging to find different perspectives from comparable group. I'm not trying to override a Doctor, but there are different types of good Doctors: E...

Re: Untreated sleep apnea and antidepressants
I took a phone call to sleep nurse today ( there's no sleep doctors you can get touch with phone), she told me to wait my appointment and cpap treatment... "cpap maybe helps with your depression too". She didn't comment about my antidepressants recipe/treatment. Of course... because she's not the do...

Re: Untreated sleep apnea and antidepressants
mth712, i can see your point of view too, and i'm not disagree... quite a paradox.. I'm not "fully functional" and i am "missing work" i definitely NOT having "suicidal thoughts". Topmost feeling and emotion is exhaustion, dead tired and maybe some anger because i haven't energy enough for my kids a...
