Re: Could it be CSDB?
GUMBYCT, My Doctor did not provide me with the details of the original study only the bottom line . I have an appointment in late December and I'll ask about the centrals . I have asked for detaied printouts of my ResMed data in the past but the Dr decided to move me to bipap and did not provide the...

Could it be CSDB?
After two weeks on the Bipap machine my my AHI is averaging 13.5 ( AI not available on display). Five months prior to this on the ResMed S8 auto Vantage the average AHI was 11 with an AI of 2. Negligable leakage. 95 th percentile pressure was 12 The Bipap 90% pressure average is 12/9. Full Face mask...

Re: No change in AHI
Snoredog ,
Thanks for the response. I can control the ramp and the Biflex which I have at 3. I'll zero out the ramp and set biflex at2 and try that.
Thanks again,
Ed

Re: No change in AHI
Hawthorne, Thanks for the input. I have a ramp start for 15 minutes that runs at 5e/7i which seems comfortable , Since it climbs to 9.7/12 why would you think I should have the clinician change the setting ( I am not authorized to change pressure settings). What do you think is happening? Thanks agai...

No change in AHI
I am now on day 9 with the Resperonics M series Bipap Auto. My aveage AHI is 12.6 ( I can only read out AHI not AI seperately) . I was on the Resmed S8 Vantage auto for about 5 months and my AHI was typically 12 +/_ 2 with AI of 2+/_1. My pressure range on both machines was set at 5 to 20. My Resmed...

Re: Tremors upon arousal
Jnk,
Thanks for the references. I checked them out. I have not had a recurrrance and I think the anxiety connection my be part of the explanation for the recent experience.
Thanks again,
Ed

Re: Tremors upon arousal
Thanks jnk, The connection to REM might explain the refreshed feeling. My heart did not seem to be racing. The tremor feeling was mainly in the arms and upper body and only persisted for about a minute or two. I would have noticed the racing heart since I have had Atrial Fibrillation ( returned to s...

Re: Tremors upon arousal
Thanks for the repliesfrom CRS and allinknots. CRS-That's a good point that I overlooked i.e., I did actually feel refreshed at the time. Allinknots-With respect to the mask: I use the F&P 431 full mask with the foam insert that they use in the 432 mask. I have tried the opus nose pillows with a rub...

Re: Tremors upon arousal
Treesap And Boston Thanks for your response. The AHI is always the sum of the AI andHI. I tend to ignore the HI's because I am sure that most of them are artifacts of shallow breathing and the response time of the machine to large pressure change demands. I do not always have these tremors but I wou...

Tremors upon arousal
Has anyone experienced tremors upon arousals? My tremors seem to be in my arm and upper body a sort of shivering ( not temperature related). What might cause this? Last night I had this happen twice . My numbers for the night were AHI 8.4,AI 0.8 ,pressure 12.2, leakage 0.02l/s As read from efficacy ...

Re: ResMed Efficacy Results
Packitin,
I beieve the settling number is a pediod in which only your low pressure is used for the time selected, 0-45, to allow you to move into sleep more easily. During the time set I believe that they do not account AHI.

Re: ResMed Efficacy Results
Thanks for the replies. I cannot contol my pressure. The default settings are 5to 20. My leakage is typically 0.00l/s according to the LED efficacy results, The pressure last night was 12.2 ,usage was 7.5 hours and the AHI=19.5 with an AI of 1.5. As I have said, I feel fine. However having been card...

Re: ResMed Efficacy Results
RestedGal, Thank you for the detailed information. This is a great help to my understanding. Could you tell me what the pressure reading means? I get between 11 and 12.5 on the daily report. By the way, I read somewhere on this site ,that the ResMed does not attempt to deal with apneas above a press...
