Re: M BiPAP Auto v. VPAP Auto
Simon, my latest sleep study was done at Upland Hills in Dodgeville, and they have the Omnilab, too. They started me out in CPAP, then switched to BiPAP; I wound up at 14/11. Out of curiosity, which sleep lab did you use? Did you get your VPAP Auto 25 in Madison? Which DME? (We're with Dean, and th...

Re: M BiPAP Auto v. VPAP Auto
I was recently titrated twice on a Respironics Omnilab in BiPAP mode, and have the new Resmed VPAP Auto 25. Initially I found my breathing was fighting the Resmed and it was quite uncomfortable. It felt like it needed too much inhale pressure from me before it would start its inhale help, and the tr...

Re: Brain Function
14/8 for the first titration, and 15 / 10 eleven days later (although I haven't got the prescription for that one yet- I picked up a copy of my sleep report from the clinic after signing a release and read it off the report )

Re: Bizarre AI / AHI graph
Slinky took a look at my data (thanks Slinky!), and it looked incorrect for her as well. My DME and Clinic came through for me again though. I took my data to the DME last Tuesday, and they passed it on to the Sleep Clinic. The doctor called me back for a second titration, this time for BiPAP and Ad...

Re: How long does it take to get a prescription??
EDIT: I didn't see your reply about having had the titration already before I posted this. If you are lucky, it can be done really quickly. I went from not knowing I had Sleep Apnea on a Sunday night, the night of my sleep study, to having my own BiPAP machine at home 9 days later. If you haven't ha...

Re: Brain Function
I should have also said that for the first week I was using my machine, my average AHI was 46 (being able to read your AHI of your machine is critical to your treatment IMO, otherwise how will you know its working? At some followup appointment 6 months down the road?). I very politely hassled the DM...

Re: Brain Function
Brain Fog and that lack of motivation or ability to do anything but sit there and stare blankly at a computer screen at work are most debilitating symptons. I was only diagnosed with Sleep Apnea a couple of weeks ago, and last night was the first time my AHI has been under control so I still feel sl...

Re: Bizarre AI / AHI graph
I emailed Slinky my data- thanks for taking a look at it. It zipped to about 24K, so its really small.

Re: Bizarre AI / AHI graph
Julie, its possible- Are you referring to the graphs or just in general? I don't think there are any giant leaks on the graphs- on the really bad night they didn't spike over 0.35 L/s. It looks like my graphs are just missing Events, which is pretty annoying when you are trying to figure out why you...

Re: Bizarre AI / AHI graph
I take the Levothyroxine as soon as get up- usually around 7 am.
I'll see if I can figure out how to export the data and talk to Slinky,
Thanks,
Simon

Re: Bizarre AI / AHI graph
About a year ago, before I was diagnosed with SA, my Rheumatologist told me I was an "interesting case." He then went on to explain that you really don't want to be an interesting case, as that just means nobody knows what's up with you My SA is already starting to feel like that to me, and it feels...

Re: Bizarre AI / AHI graph
No, but it is running on a Mac via virtualisation- I'll get the software running on an old Dell tonight and see how today's data looks on that.

Re: Bizarre AI / AHI graph
I don't think I completely trust the software and its reporting of Events. My wife woke me up at 9:30 am today, but the data only goes to 7:30 (the time isn't two hours out, as I went to bed at 10:30 ish as the data says), plus it seems unlikely that events would just stop around 3:20 am completely....
