Thanks again for the suggestions! I found a few Canadian companies that sell buckwheat hull pillows, so I think I will order one and give it a shot.
As always, the members on this forum rock! Thanks for the help!

Re: Specialty Pillows??
Thanks for the replies. Earlier today I watched a video about the Regenesis pillow, but unfortunately it is only available for domestic shipment within the USA and I live in Canada. It's too bad because the video demonstration makes that product look very appealing. I really think it would work. I'l...

Specialty Pillows??
Hi,
I was wondering if most of you use a specialty cpap pillow. I use a full face mask (and regular pillows) and I'm having a hard time getting comfy and keeping the mask on without getting leaks. I am a side and stomach sleeper. Any hints or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Can bad compliance cause daytime dizziness?
Hi, Can bad compliance (ie not using my cpap) cause daytime dizziness? I have been experiencing bouts of daytime dizziness (feeling like I am going to pass out, but I never have) and I was wondering if this could be related to not using my CPAP. P.S. I know I should be using my cpap nightly, but I f...

Sleep Study Results -- mild alpha EEG intrusions?
Hi all, I went for my annual titration study (even though I hadn't used my machine all year - I have been using it religiously all month since my sleep study) and here are my results: Sleep Onset 9.1 minutes Stage 1 - 10.5% (normal > than 80%) Stage 2 - 59.6% (normal 53.77%) Stage 3 - 11.8% (normal ...

Questions To Ask At Sleep Study Follow Up??
Hi all, I have to go for my sleep study results on Thursday and I was wondering if there are any standard questions I should ask about my results. According to the receptionist at my family doctor's office my results were "normal", but thats way too vague. I want specific information from my sleep d...

Sore Throat
Hi all,
I've only been using my cpap (with Quattro full face mask) for 6 nights and I woke up today with a sore throat. Is this just a coincidence or is this a common occurrence among new cpap users?
Thanks!
Abby

Re: Concerns and more questions..
Hi Michelle, Like you, I dreaded the thought of wearing a full face mask-- until a week ago. After a year of very poor compliance and some other medical issues (constant dizziness, light sensitivity, etc), I decided that I had better start taking all of this seriously. My sleep study showed that I n...

That makes sense!! Thanks for the clarification. As you can see, I am easily puzzled. I wonder why I didn't think of that!
Thanks again,
Abby

Mirage Swift LT -Masks Look Different on different websites
Hi, Last week my service rep was boasting at the "New" Mirage Swift LT, but at the time I wanted to try a full face mask to see if that would help improve my compliance. It certainly did!! I borrowed a Quattro full face mask for one week and it worked well for me. I did wake up this morning with a s...

Babette - Nasal Aire II Question
Hi Babette, I'm interested in finding a mask with nasal pillows, so I checked out your link about the Nasal Aire II. If I remember correctly, you stated that you are a side sleeper (I am, too) and have had really good results with this mask. After looking at the picture of the mask, I noticed that t...

Question For the Ladies
Hi, I've been using the Quattro full face mask for almost a week now with great success, but I was wondering if you can use moisturizers on your face while using cpap. Will face creams affect the quality of the seal? The cooler weather is coming and I usually rely on a nightly moisturizer to get me ...

Re: New Mask
My service rep told me that the Swift LT was the " hottest" new mask. It's only been available here in Ontario, Canada for just over a month (so she told me). I still want to try it, so I'll borrow one from my service rep and try it out. I was hoping members of this forum would provide some feedback...

Do you need to adjust pressure depending on style of mask??
Hi all, I had a sleep study last week using my flexifit nasal pillow mask and they adjusted my pressure to 8.0 (previously 9.0). I have since discovered that the Quattro full face mask is much more comfortable than my mask with nasal pillows. I've actually slept 2 full nights in a row using the Quat...

Re: Mask noise - popcorn anyone???
Oh Den, I think you are right on the money. After reading your reply I went to check my humidifier setting and it was set at 5 (maximum). I must have accidentally hit it while I was cleaning the outside casing on my cpap machine. I've moved it back to 2, so I'm sure that was the problem. Thanks agai...
