Re: Allergic reaction to ResMed Mirage Quattro mask

BlackSpinner, Thanks for the info on the cotten knit fabric. I just ordered a month's supply of Zzzz liners so I can use them temporarily until I can find a solution. I cannot afford to buy them monthly and was curious what the material is they are made from. I thought about trying to make some wash...

Allergic reaction to ResMed Mirage Quattro mask

I have used the Mirage Quattro Pro mask since ay 2007 with no allergies. I bought a new mask last year from DME and it has been giving me a red rash where it contacts face and flakiness over the redness. I found out it is eczema. I have never had eczema before, not even with the other mask. It has j...

Re: For Canadians, particularly in Ontario

Thank you Hawthorne, Julie, and Nord for your responses and suggestions. Since my income is now very low I would be afraid of trying an auction and having the mask not fit, even if I got it half price or less, as that would still be a lot of money. I still appreciate your response though, Hawthorne....

For Canadians, particularly in Ontario

Hi all, I haven't been on for quite awhile but am an official senior now. My machine was covered by the Assistive Devices Program but they only cover 75%. The other 25% was covered by ODSP Ontario disability support. I am now on OAS but my income is very low and I am wondering if any of you are in t...

Re: Looking for a Sleep Center in Canada or USA?

Ummm... there is more than 2 provinces in Canada. Paul, I thought the two on the left side of the US were Alaska and Hawaii... I'm a Canadian but remember Alaska and Hawaii becoming States of the U.S. Am I right or am I wrong? I must be older than you, in fact I'm sure Iam. Anne Oooops! I didn't sc...

Re: whoa, did I ever upset my DME

Jan, I thought I gave you some clear advice. If you don't ask the DME exactly what I said, how in the world would anyone act on it? If Medicare doesn't have the reason from the DME as to why you were not given the full OptiLife bag, then what action could possibly take place to remedy the situation...

Re: Another newbie from Canadia

Hi Hopper, I'm also from Canada. Have to tell you that yes it is true that ADP will pay 780.00 and you pay the rest. What I did, was get the cpap machine from them and a mask is covered every six months, plus filters. Then later, I purchased an auto machine from cpap.com. They will give you a good ...

Re: Intro from newbie in Canada

The Ontario Government will pay $780 under the Assistive Devices Program. If you have an Extended Health Care Plan they MAY pay some or all of the rest of the cost. If you don't have that you will pay all of the difference yourself. THE PROVDER SHOULD DO ALL THE NECESSARY paperwork and you should g...

Re: Please post input on my Sandman report

Ha - You don't understand - I know I ticked off some of the more technically knowledgable people here and therefor they don't offer any advice. I bit the hand that feeds me so to say... I was stating fact and I don't blame them. I haven't ever posted on this type of forum before but I have on some ...

Re: OT - Prayers needed - Bushfire disaster Aust

Tragedy like this levels us all. The horror of these fires happening now in Victoria is the speed with which the fire has been racing along & wiping out complete townships. Even experienced bush firefighters have been stunned by the speed & spread. In regard to the US only last month I was looking ...

Re: Papcap problem - anone else seen this

I started waking up with these sticky booger looking things on my face and other stuff and thought it was some really sticky snot since I had just had a cold. When I kept finding them I took a close look at everything and when I looked close at my fairly new Papcap I found that prior to sewing the ...

Re: I Just Received My Replacement Sandman Auto

I have been trying this machine and was concerned after reading about the two machines that tipped over but I have no issues at all and it doesn't even feel like it is prone to tipping. It is lighter than any other machine by almost half though so a strong enough tug would pull it or flip it I am s...

Re: I Just Received My Replacement Sandman Auto

Congratulations, Anne. Can you post a photo of that? I have trouble imagining it. Thank you, O. Ozji, Sorry, I don't have a camera to take a photo but maybe I can describe it better. The inside measurement of the width of the drawer is 7 3/8 " wide. This allows the Sandman auto to sit snugly when t...
