Slippage Problem? No More!
Thankfully, I've finally found the solution for my headgear slippage problem. I really appreciate all of the suggestions that were made about which products to try but the one that works for me is the Strapparatus . It's a headgear system designed by a respiratory therapist, and it stays perfectly i...

Re: My Sleep Study Results
Thanks for responding! The numbers from the titration study look a bit worse; I will post the results to those when I get a copy of the report Monday. I also have Pulmonary hypertension. I've been told that Cpap therapy could possibly reverse this. The notation on my study report said that I should ...

Re: My Sleep Study Results
Are those results from a diagnostic sleep study or from a titration or from a split-night study or other? They are from a diagnostic sleep study. They did recommend a titration study which I had on Sept 9th. The doctor kept the results of the titration study, so I need to get another copy of those....

Re: Amother New CPAP User & Struggling
Hi Frontsis, I'm new to using a Cpap too, and had the same problem as you with the feeling of suffocation while using the pillow mask; I had to switch to a different one. In my case, I needed a full face mask, because I'm also a mouth breather. It's helped a lot and I can sleep and breath easier. Ma...

My Sleep Study Results
Hi everyone, Although I've been hanging around this forum for the past month, I am finally getting around to posting my sleep study results. This sleep study was preformed at UT Southwestern Hospital here in Dallas. The doctor said that my sleep apnea was mild, but what do you guys think based on th...

I've seen these mentioned quite a bit on here; I'm definitely going to invest in one.

Re: Anyone use the Liberty mask??
If you have severe sinus problems, then the Liberty may not be for you. But then again, it's up to the individual. I have the Liberty and haven't been able to wear it much because of chronic nasal congestion, so I've been using the Quattro instead. I'm still getting used to wearing a FF mask though,...

Re: How long does it take to get a prescription??
I went in for my titration in September and got my machine the very next morning. The DME was in the same building as the sleep clinic, so I only had to wait overnight.

Re: Headgear slippage
Michelle, the best thing I've found for ME is to ditch my headgear and attach my mask directly to my chinstrap. This depends on what mask you're using, obviously. Here are pix of how I've done this with a Nasal Aire II mask, and a Tiara Topaz and Deluxe Chinstrap: http://s124.photobucket.com/albums...

Headgear slippage
Hi everyone, I'm fairly new to using a Cpap(over 2 weeks) and I have a question about headgear. As I was being fitted for a new mask the other day, the therapist mentioned that I have a very small head; this causes a major issue with the headgear straps slipping and coming off at night as I am sleep...

Re: Newbie Greetings
Hi Reddwarf and everyone, I'm a newbie here also, and I'm also from Texas..Irving to be exact. I'm currently dealing with the leaking issue and trying to find the right mask. My sleep technician gave me two masks to take home and try out, they both leak. I'm going to call in the morning to see if I ...

Re: Need Help with a Leaky Mask!
Hi all, I'm new to wearing a Cpap, and I'm having the same problem. I use nasal pillows nightly and a full mask on occassion. My nasal passages are small, so sometimes the nasal pillows slip out at night and I have to wake up to put them back in. I think I wear my mask tight enough without being too...
