Re: Europe travel plug adapter

A very good thread, but I still needs some clarification. I have a Resmed Compact S8. I'm going to Sweden from USA for business. Not sure if I need a cord like posted earlier or a converter./ adapter. When traveling in the US I carry a small power strip just to make it easy to plug in my CPAP, my La...

Re: CPAP Equipment

I found the power cord! No idea how to tell you the number of hours. If anyone wants to pay postage I'll send it. otherwise, we will drop it off at a charity donation center.

Re: CPAP Equipment

Hi all, update here. Came across an odd CPAP machine. Not sure anyone would want this! RESMED RSMaster Plus Domestic Model 2110696. Appears to be a machine used at a sleep clinic. Has a carry case, an old mask and hose. The mask is Respronics but I don't see a model or size. Looks worn out. Happy to...

CPAP Equipment

Its been a long time since I have been active on this board. I'm still using my cpap ever night and anytime I nap. Can't sleep without it. Anyway, the reason for this post is my wife runs an estate sale business and she often has cpap machines. No one shopping the estate sale every buys one. Is ther...

Re: Sleeping with élan

I got the élan a week ago. So far tried it for 4 nights. Tried large and regular size. Very mixed results. Not sure I will keep it. I really like the soft feel and not red marks on my face but I get a lot of leakage during the night. One night I had fiddled with it so much that somehow the pipe came...

Re: Time for Full Face Mask?

The chin strap I got is https://www.cpap.com/productpage/cardin ... strap.html

It has quickly became too weak and slips out of place. Not off my head, but if not in just the right place it is not effective.

Re: Time for Full Face Mask?

Thanks. I actually read that thread. I don't like the idea of taping my mouth shut or wrapping a bandage around it either! I love the idea of the nasal pillow making the apparatus less bulky, but it did not work for me. After this long I am comfortable with the nasal mask so I think a full face mask...

Time for Full Face Mask?

I've been using the nasal mask from the beginning. I tried a nasal pillow and could not sleep with it. When I first got the CPAP I had a goatee and the folks said a Full Face mask would not be the best option. Since then I have lost over 15% of my weight and shaved my goatee. For some reason I am ha...

Re: new resmed mask

Interesting. I never thought one might need to change the pressure for a different mask. I am thinking about getting the new mask but I don't think I can change the settings on my machine.

Re: bump on septum post-septoplasty

Hopefully by now you have seen the Doctor!

In general how do you feel after the surgery? It took me a while (several months) to begin reaping the benefits of the surgery.

Good luck!

Good post. Just the other night our power went off for 4 hours! It sure affirmed why I need the CPAP.

I get that sometimes but not always. Perhaps it has to do with sleeping on my side.

The clips are $7.50 for two ( ordered two sets!) and $18 to ship from Houston to Dallas.

Mask Clips broke

Live and learn! I should own a spare mask. Mine just broke the little plastic clip that snaps the head band to the mask. Just ordered replacements at a huge shipping cost!
