Re: Resmed™ S9 Climateline hose durability

I've had the "Replace tube" alarm a couple of times in 2 weeks of using this system. ( Only happened went I was set at 86) I just pull the power plug, plug it back in and go back to sleep. My DME gave me a replacement but for now its a spare.

Re: Resmed S9 H5is and ClimateLine Tubing

After 10 nights with my S9 this hit me too! What a rude awakening! I talked with the DME and they've had several problems like this. He feels its a software issue or maybe alot of bad hoses but Resmed hasn't fixed either yet. So for now another hose is coming today. Guess I'll have a spare hose.

After trying out a few different masks the Breeze has been the one for several months now. As a side sleeper I did have to do a little lab ratting as I've posted before. (zip ties, glue, & tubing)

I use a place called PneuMed here in Eugene. Can't say much for pricing. I'd use Cpap.com if it was out of pocket. But, they let me demo anything they have. Everything is delivered to my door too.

I use a germicidal sanitizer called "A 33 dry". The tech who comes to my mill to service our "3M" full face respirators uses it to clean them. It comes in packets like for a dishwasher. Use 2 in a 2.5 gal container and it lasts for months. I put it in a spray bottle and give my mask several squirts ...

In addition to those instructions you can also bend the metal band a little to help it conform to your head. And when it seems to fit use some small zip ties to keep that forward outrigger in place. Remember it may take a couple of weeks to condition your nose. But when it fits right and you have ta...

I did a "Demo" on the Comfortlite 2 this week and really liked the headgear. But I couldn't get a good seal. I did fine that I could attach the plentum of my Breeze a piece of tubing and have the best of both.

Before I became a hoser I was a mouth breather. But, I managed to get myself retrained to keep my mouth shut. It did take a few weeks and a some elbows. But between the Encore and my wife's reports it seems that its working. (At night anyway)

I'd like them to have an auto on for the humidifier.

Having a few levels of how aggressive it reacts like CFLEX does might work for some of us too.

I had a leak in the seam of my Breeze so I just used good ole superglue.
After it set up I filed the part that rubs on my lip smooth.
Actually that wasn't quite smooth enough so I got out the Dremel and polished it. Now it feels better than ever.

Ok, so here's some leak data on the Breeze venting from EncorePro for this week. If I am reading this right the 90% leak is a little high and the avg leak is a little low.

My AHI was 2.1

Tube is 16" long

90% leak-26.2
Avg leak-17.5

90% Press-10.3
Avg Press-9.5

Let me clarify my Breeze vent trick. I'm using 1/4" OD tubing. Its the almost white fairly stiff kind. I started with a thickwall piece I had and with a little soap just pushed it though the hole. (Cut ends at a slant.) However, it wasn't venting enough. I then found a thinwall version. With that I ...

Hey sleepyred, Another way to keep that strap in the lower position is to get it where you like it and secure it with small zip ties. It will stay put and you can take the hose off for cleaning. I tried using a rubberband to keep the slider in back put but it didn't work for me. Now I just bent a pa...
