Give it a couple more Months and I'll most likely be with GoofProof on this one! But for now I find that unplugging the hoses every day and hanging them up to keep them dry and giving them a good soapy wash on the weekends is adequate. I use a quality brand alcohol-free "folded wipe" to clean the ma...

Reverse Osmosis seems to cover all bases, even the morning coffee. I have often thought of installing a tap filter just because, but just put it off. I'll have one installed before this time tomorrow night. Thanks to all for the replies on this! I never thought of RO for the humifidier. All the wise...

Distilled Water vs Boiled Water - Humidifier

Is there a downside to using boiled water rather than distilled water in a heated humidifier? I was told early on by the DME to just boil water which I have been doing... is that not a good thing?

Thanks!

Search the threads here, there are several outlets mentioned for donating medical equipment. If it were me, I'd contact my sleep center for a local organization and go from there. Good luck!

No doubt there is a problem with the machine. And yes I agree that 240 vac has nothing to do with it, the manual spec is 100-240 VAC... I'll stick to troubleshooting computers From a trouble shooting angle I would see if turning off the "Alert tone and Auto-Off" feature off would change anything. I ...

You might consider donating it. The tax credit would most likely be considerably more than you'd receive in cash for the unit. At the same time it would help out someone that might otherwise not have access to the equipment. Just a thought. Good luck!

I could see something like this happening if one; you had plugged the unit into a 220 v air conditioner outlet or possibly had water syphon into the unit from an independent humidifier sitting above the cpap unit. I believe the set of zero's you are seeing are showing "hours used". That is the norma...

I must be one of the lucky ones too, this time. Without a doubt I was feeling better after the first couple of nights. I can't say the same about the battered nose syndrome, but four weeks out the nose is looking pretty good again The added support of this forums knowledge base and the resulting edu...

Okay, so that was four. Another quick tip... cpap.com has a great tool for deciding what size mask you would need for the varying types of masks available.

Hi DeeDee... to help give you some quick relief from the mask... I have three quick suggestions. 1.Loosen up the straps a little. Adjusting seems to be a never ending task, but it is very important. 2.Put your mask on first, then turn on the machine. The pressure is enough to distort the seal to you...

Good stuff Roger. Thank you! Haven't received the card reader yet, so not much to report. However, tightening up the range on the AUTO has made a HUGE difference. No problems sleeping the past two nights. It's nice having a happy, rested wife again!

Thanks Den, I have the ramp feature set to off. Increasing the Min to 10cm and keeping the max in the tight range you previously suggested to 16.5 really did the trick for me last evening. I slept straight through the night and even remember having a dream or two. Feeling pretty good today! The card...

AUTO working?

Having just started to use an AUTO 3 nights ago and I understand your concerns snoozalot. On the first night I left the AUTO settings at Min 4cm Max 20cm with C-FLEX set at 1. I slept like a baby, felt pretty good in the morning too. Night two I raised the min to 6 cm and lowered the max to 16 cm, m...
