Oh! Sorry, I didn't understand that. Pressing on the nose doesn't really change anything.
I use nose rinses all the time (well, periodically frequently - if I use it too frequently it is counter-productive) and I use Nasacort every night.
Humidity is set to 7.

Re: Which machine should I request for greatest flexibility?
Yes, if I use my finger on ONE side of my nose bridge and aggressively pull away from my nose, I can often breathe better out of that side (but not if I'm too congested, which I am now as a result of rebound congestion from Afrin). I can't do it on both sides because it is inadequate to help EITHER ...

Re: Which machine should I request for greatest flexibility?
Not going well and once again being forced to re-evaluate the causes. The F30 is not very tolerable. I also pulled out an old Swift FX to try. Didn't think I liked it before (I think I was using the wrong size cushion before), but it is better than the F30 and maybe even on par with the N30. But the...

Re: Which machine should I request for greatest flexibility?
I'm not finding that - not finding "run hours", not under Settings anyway. Under Sleep Report there is a listing of usage hours, but it looks like just the time I've experimented with it and not the total hours used before I ever owned it.

Re: Which machine should I request for greatest flexibility?
UPDATE: I did some research on nasal congestion and CPAP use. I may have previously read over similar things to what I ran across this time, but since I was looking for a specific purpose this time, the information stood out. Full-Face-Mask. I never considered them ever before, both because I didn't...

Re: Which machine should I request for greatest flexibility?
I have congestion issues all the time. But it was made worse trying the CPAP machine. Yes to the nasal cycle, but it shouldn't completely close off, but it does... long before asleep. I don't know how to solve it short of another surgery. Have had a cold for a few days so have not been experimenting...

Re: Which machine should I request for greatest flexibility?
Airfit N30. I basically STAY congested unless I sit up for awhile. That's true even WITHOUT a CPAP mask and device, but I'm sure they make it somewhat worse. When I lay down, my nose plugs up, at least the side that is "down" when laying on my side. Nasacort usually keeps things manageable for the f...

Re: Which machine should I request for greatest flexibility?
Sorry for the delay in responding. Pugsy: No offense taken! I usually default to male too - used to be the common and correct practice in writing... Yes, you said in a previous reply about min 7 in and 4 out being easier than 4 in/ex. I made a mental note at the time and I did understand how that co...

Re: Which machine should I request for greatest flexibility?
Responses responded to in order: Pugsy: Thanks much! Very helpful! Turns out I have an old 2 GB SD already in my possession and it is now in the machine. Thanks for telling me that by putting an SD card in, the summary data will be written to the card. I have now changed "Essentials" to "Plus". Miss...

Re: Which machine should I request for greatest flexibility?
SOOO, as of Saturday I now have a machine - ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet For Her - and a mask. I've put it together and have it set up. But now I need to know what to do next - as in, there is no SD card (can I use any card?); do I need to load the software that has been mentioned in order to have acc...

Re: Which machine should I request for greatest flexibility?
Thanks everybody!
I have a call in to the pulmonologist's office to see if I can get a prescription. I'm looking at the ResMed Air Sense 10 Auto For Her that "Okie bipap" suggested. I'm looking at used as well as the various new ones offered.
I love frogs! So I should be able to adjust it!

Re: ASV vs CPAP etc. for OSA - greater tolerability ???
Thank you so much for the info! Pressure relief on the Respironics machines with any kind of Flex is limited to 2 cm drop and you get that only if you are a forceful breather. Not much drop. ResMed machines have EPR and there is up to a 3 cm drop available and you get it no matter how forcefully you...

Re: Which machine should I request for greatest flexibility?
Yes to which? Yes a limit can be set for the maximum pressure, or yes they are always auto all the way up to the highest pressure?
Edit: I think I just found my answer on another person's post from 2013 - yes you do set minimum and maximum pressures on an autoCPAP!
