Re: If you have Apnea you MUST have sex tonite

I think that Viagra in your humidifier would just make your hose get hard!

Re: Blocked Nasal Passages

I keep and old fashion Vick's inhaler by the bed. If I wake up in the middle of the night congested I can usually take a hit off of it in each nostril and clear out the problem. It is quick and easy. I do know people that have gotten hooked on these things however so I would only use it when needed.

Re: The air seems so cold

For some reason using a nasal mask seems to make the air cooler. The air is actually room temperature if you are not using heat on your humidifier. According to your profile you have a heated humidifier which I understand has 3 settings. If it seems too coLD turn up the heat. Just in reading your po...

Re: So who had night ssweat before CPAP?

I keep it 68 degrees in our bedroom at night and still had sweats before starting CPAP several years ago. Mine were so bad that we washed the sheets almost every morning because they would be soaking wet and smell. Since going on CPAP I have had only one or two incidents. This is actually due to hyp...

Re: Devilbiss SmartLink Software Now Available

I found some sample of reports on DeVilbiss webpage. I have never had reporting software in all my years of use. Could someone that understands this stuff take a look and let me know if they think the software is adequate? http://www.devilbisshealthcare.com/media/product_media/rpd_sleep_therapy/US_p...

Re: Length of CPAP tube

use and Intellipap, it has a built in setting for either a 6' or 10' hose. It doesn't give the option for any others. I do not know if other machines offer such an option or not. I would think that if you are going to a longer hose that the 10 footer would work better anyway since it is best to have...

Re: Do I really need a Humidifier? -- A lucky discovery.

I find myself using passover humidification whenever I sleep with a nasal mask, however I have found that when I use my OptiLife pillow mask that my nares get real sore, real fast without the extra humidity. I had never used humidification at all up until the first of September when I purchased a ne...

Re: Should a nasal mask user have a full mask as a backup?

I also make sure that I have a good backup FF mask. I use one of the hybrids that has nasal pillows and covers the mouth for this. It has come in really handy in the past!

Re: Sort of like a mini poll.. Which machine do you use and why?

I also use and IntelliPap. I chose this machine because I travel a great deal on my job, often times gone for weeks at a time. This machine without the power brick is extremely easy to pack even with the humidifier and is lightweight. I can carry my entire machine, a nasal pillow system and a hybrid...

I also received the free samples, but only a few days ago. I didn't receive them on the first go round for some reason, I assume a screw up somewhere with the Post Office from the email that I received. I really appreciated getting a followup email from the company, tells me they care about their re...

Re: Sore Nose

I have been on Cpap for several years and had switched from a Profile Lite to this Optilife only a couple of months ago. I don't have a problem mouth breathing, never have so I thought the Optilife would work and it did really good for a while. I live in East Texas so humidity is not a real problem,...
