Re: My titration results are here!

Michelle, I don't think notaries are that expensive. A lot of places will notarize items for free, too...your bank will have a notary sometimes, and a lot of work sites have a notary on staff who will notarize things for free for their employees. As for the periodic leg movement, it may not be from ...

Re: insurance help

Some insurance companies require you to rent a machine for a certain period of time, to be sure you are really going to use it, and be compliant, before they pay for it in full. You'll want to see if your insurance company has this requirement or not. Good luck!

Re: CPAP Auction Seller not Responding to e-mails?

I'm glad you contacted CPAPauction.com I was having a similar problem...a new seller, as soon as I won I sent an email from the link at the auction item site asking him to send me his paypal info. Two days later he sent me an email, in a way that didn't reveal his email address or provide his paypal...

Re: Need Help/Advice/Sympathy

A few years ago I had to take Ambien and I had a terrible time waking up. I actually did not take it when it was recommended, because I was too afraid I would oversleep. Eventually my doctor and I cut the Ambien in half so I could wake up when I needed to. My guess is it is probably premature to get...

Re: Another question

Don't know for sure, but I'd have to imagine it would affect it. I say that because when I had my sleep test, they told me that some of the gadgets they put on me were meant to measure whether or not I ground my teeth. If that didn't affect anything, there wouldn't be a need to test for it.

Re: Taking off mask at night?

I am unsure about the "you're not totally convinced you need it" explanation. It might be true for you...don't know. I know I have ripped off the mask twice and turned off the maching while I was "sleeping" during the 2 months I've used my CPAP. I don't take any sleep meds. I have no idea why I did ...

Re: What good does software do for the user?

I'll give you a great example of why I wanted the software...My average leak rates appear to be in the range of what's considered normal for the mask I use. When I got the software, I found that while the average appears normal, in reality my leak rates are bouncing all over the place, sometimes clo...

Re: For new people, be aware of even your sleep center.

I don't believe MichelleFL ever said she was going to ignore her doctor's feedback. Unless I read it wrong, she said she was going to work closely with her general practitioner. I thought she was disagreeing with a tech who has no way of knowing how the sleep doc would have reacted if MichelleFL had...

Re: DME Provider

Slinky, if Dori's had her equipment for more than 30 days, and it is a rental, are you saying she is stuck with them? If it is a rental, can she not turn it in and go rent one from another DME, if her insurance company uses them? Thanks.

Re: How much sleep before you felt better?

I've been at this since mid August. I didn't have that miraculous feeling the morning of my titration, but I did the first day I used the machine at home. I noticed a difference immediately, but it tTok about a week before I started feeling "better", and I was feeling "good" after about 3 weeks, and...

Re: please review my question list

I agree, I probably need to organize the questions better-like in categories. I was just brainstorming when I generated that list. Slinky, That is great info. Thanks. No, I wasn't aware of being able to see the EOB's on line. I will talk to my mom this evening to see if she wants to register online,...

Re: please review my question list

Bonnie, Thanks. I'm afraid I can't go with her because she lives in FL and I live in NC. That's why I was trying to give her a written list ahead of time. I can definitely call her Medicare and her insurance company and try to get the answers to lists of approved DME's, deductibles, co-pays, frequen...
