Re: Camping and Resmed S9
OK, the 36006 is the S9 VPAP™ Auto. So a 150W MSW inverter should still work.

Re: Camping and Resmed S9
I just located the Resmed battery documentaion. Looks like a MSW inverter and appropriate battery will do the job.

Re: Gerd - heartburn - acid reflux and OSA
I had severe bouts of reflux before CPAP that Prevacid and Nexium treated marginally. When I began the CPAP therapy it was as if the reflux was turned off like a light switch. I have not had a single incident of nighttime reflux in the two years since I started CPAP therapy. I have even consumed som...

Re: Beagles (Somewhat OT, but with an On Topic Note)
Good for you for taking that beagle baby into your home! Beagles are very smart and lovable. However, they are stubborn, and are more motivated by food than praise. They are also scent driven, and can easily become lost when they take off tracking an interesting smell. Unfortunately, many beagles ar...

Re: Why does anyone buy the Respironics PR System One????
Personally, I would not consider a PR department to be a reliable source. last time I checked my bankroll, well it was gettin' thin sometimes it seems like the bottom is the only place I've been chased a rainbow down a one-way street... dead end and all my friends turned out to be insurance salesme...

Re: Nephew hoses up one night, no insurance
Thanks! I was aware of the Awake organization but had not thought to contact them. I will do that. In the meantime, I am thinking about sending my nephew my Pro series machine, with mask and hose. I will order a spare card for him. Then he can rotate cards, mailing his to me for reports.

Nephew hoses up one night, no insurance
My nephew visited us this weekend. We noticed a snoring pattern familiar to all of us with apnea. Loud snoring, followed by silence, followed by a resumption of snoring, repeating again and again. Apnea is very common in our family. He does not have many of the "normal" issues such as excessive dayt...

Battery backup story!
This weekend I went tent camping with our Webelos 1 Scouts. I am a den leader, and I take my CPAP on all overnight excursions. I have shown the system to the boys, and explained how it worked. I put together my own battery backup system, and it has worked well for 1 1/2 years. I use a small fused in...

Re: Need a cheap CPAP?
I have bought two CPAPS from http://secondwindcpap.com/ The owner was very helpful, and the machines I bought were exactly as described. I was happy with the DS400 I bought from him, and that is why I returned to get my DS-500. I don't think CPAP.COM can be beat for new equipment and great service. ...

Re: OT - how to clear my ears?
Hi Babs,
I am glad your ear is clearing on its own! I resorted to the ear drum procedure after nearly three months and no relief. My left ear never partially cleared, just remained 100% stopped up. I sincerely hope your ear continues to clear on its own!

Re: OT - how to clear my ears?
I had an ear infection in late December that caused my left ear to remain painfully plugged up. I had a lot of fluid behind the eardrum. I went through two antibiotic prescriptions, and then prednisone that was prescribed to reduce imflammation. Nothing worked. Still plugged, with major hearing loss...
