Surgery & CPAP
I will be having hernia surgery this Thursday and will be staying in the hospital for a few days. Should I bring my CPAP with me? I have been using it since June and I have been fine with it (now that I have a mask I like) so I am wondering if I will need it there. I am afraid it might get stolen th...

Re: CPAP and Electric loss
Well I called the electric company here in Illinois and I will get some paperwork in the mail for the doctor to fill out regarding my medical device. Then it goes back to them and they decide if I should be on a priority list. I think I will go buy that UPS backup just in case! Thanks for the help e...

Re: Still Tired with APAP, any help???
I see that everyone is trying to help you with your sleepiness, but has your doctor ruled out other issues like your thyroid? I was constantly feeling tired even tho I felt I got enough sleep (before CPAP which I have been on about a month) and they found out my thyroid was low. So now I take meds f...

CPAP and Electric loss
Since I am on the CPAP now, should I get a note from the Dr regarding losing electric power in my house? We had a pretty bad storm about a month ago, and we had no power for two days. Of course we do not have a generator (yet) so I could not use my CPAP. Is this machine the type that you can get a n...

CPAP and Getting Up In The Morning
Since I have been using the CPAP (about a month) I find that I am always hitting the snooze button and wanting to sleep longer. My alarm is set for 5:45am but I have noticed that I have been getting up around 6:15 or 6:30 which of course makes me late for work. It feels to me that I am sleeping so d...

Re: First Appt with Dr
Well I saw the Dr today along with the representative there about my machine and masks. I did not know I needed to find a computer card, put it in my machine and bring the card to the Dr for them to read. I just brought my whole machine there. The rep pulled the info from my machine and gave me a fe...

Re: Hubby doesn't get it.
Sorry to hear you are not getting the support you need. My significant other used to wear a CPAP until they lost about 200 lbs and now they don't have to. So when I had to get mine, I asked if they would love me less or not look at me with it and I was told no way. I know what it is like and I would...

First Appt with Dr
I have my first follow-up appointment with my Dr. after I have been using my CPAP for about a month. Do I need to bring my CPAP machine with me so they can get the readings from it? My machine is set so I cannot see the Detailed Menu so I cannot keep track of what has been happening for the last mon...

Software for ResMed
I have been reading the posts here and have been learning lots. I see some of the posts talk about software for their machines and that they can download the information to their computers. I looked at the ResMed site and did not see software listed. Do any of you know if there is software available...

Re: Newbie who has a question about sleeping pillows
Thanks for the reply but I was wrong about my mask. It is a ResMed Mirage Micro and it is a small. I have been through three masks already. I started out with the nasal pillows, then they sent me a Micro but it was a large, too big for my face, so I got a small which is what I wore at the sleep stud...

Newbie who has a question about sleeping pillows
Hi Everyone, I have been using a CPAP machine for about a month now and I took to it ok. The one problem I have is that I am a side sleeper and my mask always seems to move a little so I have the air going into my eyes. I have my mask as tight as I can handle but it seems sometimes the mask will mov...
