Re: Mask for women ?

I have had a large variety of masks in the 3 years since I was diagnosed. One thing you need to be aware of with nasal pillows is that they do not work well with higher pressure numberfs. My high was 15 when it was recommended I try to use 2 different ones, felt lik Petunia pib in the mronings with ...

Anyone using Resmed Mirage Vista mask?

I am still having mask problems. I have had about 6 different ones in two years!! My main problem is not so much with the mask but with the head gear. I wake up multiple times during the night to pull the head gear back down. I have long, stright hair and the head gear slips and slides. I have pulle...

I get whistling everyonce in a while too, not sure why either. I have noticed that it doesn't seem to be the seal. when I put my hand over the exhaust at the connection to the mask, it stopped. think I would blow up like a balloon if I covered it. I am going to tag along on this to see if others hav...

You can take both on, just tell them it is medical. I frequently travel with the cpap, a laptop, and a digital projector. I have not had any problems. I will also admit to having put my cpap into a hard sided suitcase for one return trip, the machine had quit while out of town and so didn't feel I h...

what are good numbers?

I just went today and had my card read at the DME. I am still exhausted and trying to figure out what is up. Can't get in to the sleep Dr until June 7. I know I have seen a discussion of what numbers you should aim for but can't seem to locate it tonight when I need it.

Thanks much

I also had trouble with the mask slipping, partially because of long straight hair. A more troublesome problem was that when it got to my 14 level, it went into liftoff. Some have suggested that I add a headband around the the front hose and the back of my head. I did not do this because of the cons...

don't even know the names of all of them but I believe 5 is my number. Maybe we need to create a list of who different ones are good for? I know some that aren't good with a number of 14. And some that aren't good with long straight hair!!! Cant find one that stays in place, keep going back to the o...

Steve-o, I found that I can't use mine after only one night. My top number is 14 and the thing went into lift off when it ramped up to that number. Such a waste of money, when the DME should have known it wouldn't work with high numbers.

I forgot the funny part of my most recent trip with the "brick." As I was going through security scanners the gentleman in front of me got shuffled around along with his stuff. I got through and went to the end to gather up my stuff inbetween my computer and proxima were TWO identical cpap bags. Nei...

I have flown multiple airlines since I have been using my cpap,no problems with any of them. The most recent trip had me with a laptop backpack, a proxima projector AND the cpap. Just said that the one was medical equipment and on I went.

2factors smart card reader

Ok, I got my reader and am attempting to work through the various installs. I have run into a problem with the driver for the reader. I went to the site to download the appropirate one, opened the file, but it is not an automatic install. where should the driver have gone? I have the step by step th...

Thanks Rested Gal and (non)goofproof/guest. that is what I needed to know. I can't seem to find what the "good numbers are". I brought home a new mask, activa, I will begin using it tonight. I was too tired last night to mess with getting the headgear adjusted with safetypins to start then As for re...
