Re: Questions about using the ERP on a Resmed
Going from 8 to 9 is a small step, and that is the best way to test adjustments to your therapy. ResMed's EPR (Expiratory Pressure Relief) reduces the machine's pressure by 1, 2, or 3 cm H20. It's pretty much a trial-and-error process to find what's best for you. When I was using my S8 AutoSet II, I...

Re: Does DME have to change a setting to get S9 data?
ResMed won't allow US suppliers to ship their equipment to Canada, forcing patients to buy it at inflated Canadian prices. Respironics machines can be shipped across the border. some people respond slightly better to the algorithm of one brand vs the other. Remember that different brands score event...

Re: DME ordering Respironics PR One - is this a good machine?
The System One 60-SeriesSE is the newest brick introduced by Philips Respironics. It has four buttons and a 3-digit LED display instead of the knob, ramp button and large LCD display that the other S1s have. It works with the Same 60-series humidifier as the other 60-Series machines. Curiously, it i...

Re: PRS1 dry box experiment
The new dry box design was Respironics' fix to the flawed humidifier of the not-loved M-Series. It was way too easy to destroy an M-Series blower by tipping it with a filled humidifier attached. (If I remember correctly, there were no also shortage of complaints that the M-Series humidifier did not ...

Another vote for the PapCap. Works well for me.
Others have posted good things about the adjustable version of the Ruby.

It would be great if you could try and decode the .004 files. I'd love to
see what my machine has stored.
Now if someone out there has the list of System One error codes ...

Re: Help! Anybody have a extra PRS1 series 50 humidifier?
For safety reasons, the heat disk must have a thermal overload sensor. Some types of
sensor (like the one in my hairdryer) automatically reset when they cool down. Others,
(like the one in my rice cooker) cannot be reset and must be replaced.

Re: BST Forum ?
What exactly is BST?
A quick Google search yielded both "British Summer Time" and "Bangladesh Standard Time",
neither of which is likely to be what you intended.

I've never had an S9, but I'm pretty sure that there is only one humidifier for the
entire S9 series. All you should need to upgrade is the ClimateLine hose.

I don't use tape but recall that other users have use 3M Micropore tape and even
3M Painter's Tape (the version made for delicate surfaces. #2080 if I remember correctly.)

Re: Had my machine changed to auto-did I do the right thing?
I believe that the lower setting is EPAP min (5 here) and the upper is IPAP max (25). The PS is the allowable difference between IPAP and EPAP. So here IPAP - EPAP will always be between 2 and 7 inclusive. IPAP has priority over EPAP, so if an IPAP increase would cause PS to become greater than PS m...
