Re: Greetings
Hey Gang, I wouldn't say I got "screwed" but indeed I was a little misled. I decided it would be better to take the machine they offered and start my therapy right away. I am in the process now of getting the better machine and mask. I wasn't expecting to get everything right the first time. An adj...

Re: CPAP BED PILLOW !
Ha! When I first read the topic I thought I read CRAP BED PILLOW. My eyes really get fatigued at the computer lately. Several years ago I bought a Tempurpedic pillow. Not the neck pillow, but the one that is made like a conventional one. My head settles in nicely and my mask hangs off the side. Wort...

Re: exhailing against the airflow
I am only on my 27'th day on CPAP. After the titration my pressure was set at 17. Higher than I anticipated. My first impression was that exhaling against the pressure felt a bit confining for lack of a better word. Sure didn't make me feel better about having to do this CPAP thing, but I knew how s...

Re: Clonazepam
I have used it. It will relax you and help you to sleep. There are a couple of issues I had using it. It takes a week or so for the morning hang over feeling to go away. You develop a tolerance if used over a long time, necessitating increasing the dose to have the same effect to induce sleep. To di...

Re: Doctor was right about break-in time
Treatment was a peice of cake while I was on a pressure of 10 until I awaited my titration. Since my titration I'm at a pressure of 17, and the seal of my upper pallate with the back of my toungue breaks loose and wakes me up out of a dead sleep. All in all I'm able to wear the mak the whole night t...

Re: How many?
I only have one; the Resmed Mirage Micro-nasal. It's my first one and works great but I'm to ignorant to know if there are indeed better ones out there. For the prices, they are just too expensive to try them out willy nilly. I have one replacement mask within a year which is covered under insurance...

Great photos. As I was looking, I couldn't help thinking there needs to be a few fishing poles hanging off in that river!

OOOO!!!!!!!! I think you're definitely onto something there, Cloud 9! Looking forward to seeing what you come up with! BTW, I'm open for product testing, if you need a guinea pig. LOL, Babs Seriously.... For the last week I have been perusing thrift shops, furniture stores, and garage sales for som...

Re: CPAP cabinet and pole on Auction
That is cool. Someone had a great idea there. If it were just a little taller they could include a small drawer for the masks, supplies and face wipes. I would also take it a step further by adding an above board hand pump leading to the distilled water jug stored below, with a retractable rubber ho...

Re: Doctor visit Thrusday
Congratulations on your results so far! I think it's way cool of your doctor to allow you to take such an active role in your therapy. As one should. You should have heard the reaction when I asked to change to the new titrated pressure myself without having to bring the machine in. I'm still waitin...

Current or former Mirage Micro Nasal users
I have been thinking I would like to have a second mask as a backup. I am currently using the Resmed Mirage Micro Nasal mask, of the type with the adjustment dial at the forehead assembly. This is my very first mask and I have no objections to it. It fits comfortably, seals well, and is vented in su...

This may not be so bad after all..CPAP that is
The sleep center wanted me to begin therapy right away before my titration so I could get used to the machine. They said I had 102 events per hour with O2 desaturation as low as 80%. They set the machine at 10. It is a Resmed S8 Compact with 3i Humidifier. I had wanted a data capable machine so I co...

Greeting folks, I have a few questions
Hello all. I have been lurking on your wonderful site for the last two weeks, and I have gotten tons more information than I ever could have thought to ask. I received a seperation agreement from my company when my position was eliminated, and I only have one more month of good insurance remaining. ...
