Mask Suggestions

Hey everyone. I was here alot back in the summer & fall when I first got my CPAP, but all went so smoothly at first that once school started (I'm a teacher), I got swamped and haven't "hung out" in a while. Here is my dilema: I started out on a Swift LT nasal pillow - it worked really well at first,...

Re: PurSleep (xPAP Aromatherapy) SURVEY

I told my RT about PurSleep when I went in to see about a new mask. I gave her the website. She said it sounded really cool, but just hadn't heard of it. BTW--I got my newly packaged samples - the ones in the perfume bottles. It's GREAT. And by great I mean, I now know 2 more fragrances I will order...

Re: New Mask

So far so good. I've got some irritation on my nares, but that was the case with my Swift until I'd been using it for a week or so. I haven't tried the cradle yet - Since it was a manufacturer sample, I got ALL the nose pieces in all 3 sizes. I switched from the L pillow to the M and it's better.

Re: New cpap user - love it!

Congrats Sunshine! I was like you, once I decided to make the leap and admit I had apnea, I jumped right into doing something about it. I was worried about adapting, but I've been on cpap for about 6 weeks now, and it's really been a very smooth adjustment (although I am trying a new mask). Keep it ...

New Mask

Despite starting off very strong and very compliant with my Swift LT nasal pillow mask, I'd begun having trouble with leaking. I think as the side pieces loosened up, my side sleeping was causing them to push the pillows to the side. OR something! I don't know. Anyway, I went to my DME today and eve...

Re: FREE PurSleep (Aromatic) Samples

I got my samples as well. I see what you mean about the plastic envelopes - my letter smells GREAT!!! But I can't really distinguish wish aroma is which. They're kind of blended together. But like I said - the result smells really good! I put the empty envelope in my gym bag!!

Re: OT: GOOD LUCK TEXANS!

I'm in the Dallas Fort Worth area, and we're just supposed to get alot of rain and winds in the 20 mph range. I'm delivering a grooms cake to a wedding at Carswell AFB this afternoon and staying for the wedding. I wish I could just hunker down at home. The wedding was intially supposed to be outdoor...

Re: REVIEW...Pad A Cheek for Swift LT

I used my Pad A Cheek for my Swift LT mask last night for the first time. At first, I struggled a little bit getting it on the straps, even with the pictures, because I'm spatially challenged. The first one went on wonky, then they second one went on perfectly and I saw what I had done wrong. Easy f...

Re: trouble breathing with swift lt mask

I've had my swift LT for about a month. I have a bit of trouble with leakage, but found (after following advice from the forum) that I actually have less trouble when my straps are looser. If they are too tight, I have more leak issues. I haven't had the trouble of not being able to breath though. A...

Re: Vibratory Snore and Celexa

I take Celexa too - but according to my husband, the snoring was vibratory way before that, so I don't know any more than you do about a connection. Does it have respiratory side affects listed?

Have you guys seen that liberty medical is starting to run commericals for getting your cpap supplies at home, just like the commercials they do for diabetes supplies?

Re: Leak Reduction in the Swift LT

I don't know your hair length, although it may not matter. I put on a stretchy hair band around 2 inches wide more or less (Goody brand in the drug store or grocery store...often sold afew in a package.) This keeps my hair stable, but more importantly, stabilizes the mask without overtightening. I ...

Re: Leak Reduction in the Swift LT

I started using my Swift LT 11 days ago and at first had some problem with leaking. Turns out I was mouth breathing in the middle of the night. Any chance that you're doing the same? I'm now mouth taping and my leak stat is now 0.00 l/s. Will either keep with mouth taping or try the Mirage Liberty ...

Leak Reduction in the Swift LT

Hey guys. I had a really good couple of first weeks with my cpap, but the last week hasn't gone so well. I'm really having trouble with leaks. I don't have a data capable machine, so I don't know how many or percentage or anything, but I wake up feeling them, and hub can hear them. Today I was almos...
