Re: night 1 APAP results

I am not sure why, but when i checked my data this a.m., after changing nothing from the day before and having what I would consider another good night sleep, none of my data changed INCLUDING 7 and 30 day usage hours. It's like the machine didn't register my data from last night. Does anyone know w...

night 1 APAP results

AHI= 2.3 leak rate= 39.5 90% pressure= 13 min=10 max=16.....30 minute ramp starting at 8 I had a great night sleep and didn't wake up due to leaks as I did with the CPAP set at 15 or 18. My leak rate numbers are less than they were with the CPAP (it was in the 40's) but the number seems high to me, ...

My new Respironics M series APAP w/ c flex

I just exchanged my M series Pro CPAP for the auto this morning. My pressure on the CPAP was set at 15, lowered from the origional 18 that I was titrated at. I plan on setting the min. at 8 and the max. at 16(does this sound correct?). I was wondering, since I don't have the software yet, just the s...

Re: trading my CPAP for an APAP

thanks rested gal, i already have the m series humidifier (sp?) for my m series pro CPAP, and they told me to just bing in the CPAP part, so I am now fairly confident that my new machine will be the same as yours. i am glad to hear that it is a quality machine. My tech told me that it was, but from ...

sleep meds

Fully understanding that falling asleep naturally without the use of medication is the best for the body, I have a question on which medication is the lesser of two evils. Currently I am prescribed 1-2 150 mg trazadone nightly (with 1 usually doing the job most nights). My question is whether or not...

Re: trading my CPAP for an APAP

I have a very good DME so I should be ok. He gave me a heated humidifier when my medicaide would only cover a regular humidifier. Now he is willing to circumvent my hard to deal with Dr. and swap machines for me. I do keep getting the ResMed equipment confused with the Respironics equipment. I have ...

Re: Do high CPAP pressures normally lead to a FFM?

I too was prescribed at 18 and have a Quattro. I had so many leaks at 18 that it would wake me up so the Dr. lowerd it to 15 after I argued with him for a while. That helped me with the leaks and my numbers seem decent, but I am switching machines tomorrow to an APAP so hopefully that will make a bi...

BI-PAP or APAP

As you can see, I am currently using a CPAP machine(as is shown below)...I have been on it for 9 days. For the first 7 days my pressure was set at 18, but when it would get to about 16 or so I would start getting leak issues. I called the doctor and he seemed annoyed that I questioned the pressure s...
