Re: pressure induced centrals ?
I was not aware that the S8 reported centrals as an apnea. Thanks for the info. I guess I may be sensitive to pressure changes even with a 2cm range.Better stay with cpap.

presure induced centrals ?
I switch between cpap and apap on occasion to see which gives me the better result.I had been on cpap at 9.6cm with good numbers but decided to try apap with a range 8.6-10.6. The first night I had AHI of 1.6 and AI 0. Last night I awoke after 3 hours with a full bladder and to my dismay the AHI was...

Re: How do YOU dry the hose?
I hang the hose end to end vertically instead of over a bar in an inverted "U" which is how I store it.Interestingly, the bottom half will dry first after which you can reverse the ends. Depending on the relative humidity, it should dry within one day.

Re: ResMed Autoset LCD Reading
I sometimes wake up and check my Resmed AutoSet 11 with my mask on and machine running. To my surprise the LCD shows a high pressure even though I'm awake and there is no flow limitation.I've watched for as long as 1 minute with no change in the pressure.Has anyone else noted this and should it take...

I agree with your take on the Epworth scale.I was beyond sleepy, more like a zombie.PSG stands for polysomnography or sleep study and sp02 is a measurement of blood oxygen.

Re: After 2 years, I *FINALLY* got a restful night's sleep!
I tried the TAP3 adjustable dental device and it seemed to work.I subsequently used the SPO7500 oximeter to verify the efficacy and it showed numerous desats and spo2 below 90 so I returned to the hose.My sleep study showed only mild OSA.Suggest you buy or borrow an oximeter or do another PSG to mak...

Resmed AutoSet 11 success story
Resmed I began CPAP Jan08 with a Dx of mild OSA,AHI 8.I did a home study for titration that resulted in a 7.2cm setting on CPAP.Over the next few months I regularly charted LED results from my Resmed S8 Elite. The AHI was usually less than 2 and leaks were low.I also used the SPO7500 oximeter and des...
